Big Pharma needs to be held accountable. I'm in the sticks and they can't even keep up with the Narcan shots. Worse thing is it's cheaper to get a bag of that brown than a few percs so I've seen a lot of pill poppers turn into straight heroin shooters simply cause it was cheaper.

On the subject of mental health ...our community really does take it for granted. I was talking to this female a few weeks ago. She was saying how this mental hospital she works at is filled with young brehs who walk around talking "on folk " "on folk" repeat like a broken record. Shyt real out here

Sometimes I honestly believe we need to have a real convo about this stuff. Sorta shame people from doing it...cuz let's be real a lot of our people do it on some social being cool shot.
The thing is people gotta bring that same energy when a rapper ain't recently die. Where was shawty speaking out a week ago.
i recently put myself into a voluntary hospital and majority of people in there were hispanics and black people. it wasn’t like that 10+ years ago when i went to mental hospitals so i think some are trying to get the help they need/want

Damn, RIP. This one is a bit tough to hear especially hearing that he has an 8 month old son and that he was trying to get his life together.
Unfortunately, his drug addiction probably festered due to the environment in Chicago. Growing up the way he did, only real way to cope was drugs and once you're on, it's hard to get off. And Fredo was never at the point where he could fully escape that lifestyle until it was too late. If anything, this should really be a wakeup call to political leaders in Illinois that - hey - a rapper at the age of 27 just died and this cycle is just going to continue. Perhaps we can start doing things that'll get people off drugs, like investing in the community, getting people (especially African Americans) well paying jobs.... That cycle will lead to a reduction in crime, more kids graduating high school/college, and less people using drugs and dying from gun violence....... But that's all wishful thinking.
With that said, the rappers who are actively promoting lean and pills should really look in the mirror. Like hey - one of our own rappers just died because of lean, maybe we should stop? Unfortunately, when DJ Screw passed away, rappers still drank lean. When Pimp C passed away, rappers still used lean. Like why is Weezy still using lean? We gotta stop this as an overall rap community.
Additionally, labels and management need to be more proactive in helping rappers and others get off pills and lean instead of being complicit and encouraging it....
