Gibbs is probably the most overrated rapper recently. No verse of the year contender. Not classic guest spots. People saying he has the best discography of the 2010s lol.

Overrated? :dahell: If anything he's underrated, dude does not get talked about nearly enough. He's still considered a fairly underground-esque rapper to the masses.

This isn't even worth arguing to be honest. Alfredo & Bandana alone shyt on a lot of rappers entire discographies.

i know im in the minority. but i still think his best rapping was earlier in his career. he was certainly rawer. ive said before i felt like he is coasting a bit these days in comparison. part of me wonders if some yall wouldve even given him a chance if he hadnt linked w/ certain producers.

As an early fan I felt like there was a change around Cold Day In Hell/ESGN. He improved but the content was getting less varied and his street persona was getting bigger and bigger. Plus his delivery was crisp back then, first thing I noticed about dude. Some of the cleanest fast rapping I ever heard.

People change over time. It's like looking at an athlete. It's hard to put a finger on their best era and this dude been in the game for about as long as Drake if we're being real. Just glad to see him still rapping.

Yup. Cold day in hell and Baby Face Gangsta Gibbs was his prime. I feel (imo) lyrically he's not trying as hard as he use to. With that said I still enjoy his current content a lot. I want that effortless flow Gibbs who doesn't rhyme n***a every other bar.

Edit: Just listened to Barely made and Rob me a n***a again :damn: how does a rapper start of a project like that

Cold Day In Hell is my favorite Gibbs project. I love Gibbs now but back then he had a little more depth and the production was a little more varied. He floated over this shyt. Heaven Can Wait is my favorite Gibbs track.

That Intro though man...

:banderas:
