Anyone got this above his projects with madlib?

I don’t have any of his projects above Piñata. That’s my favorite Gibbs album period.

I agree with what I heard someone say yesterday. The highs on Bandana are higher than the highs on Alfredo, but the lowers are lower than the lowers on Alfredo.

Alfredo is a little bit more even throughout, with the high points not being quite as high as Bandana. I’m sort of copping out on you. I like Alfredo almost as much as Bandana but not quite yet.

I also think it’s a little different because on Alfredo they worked together and Al said he wanted to let Gibbs choose the beats. With Madlib, he sends packs to Freddie that he thinks will challenge him. So I think the dynamics of each duo makes them a bit different.

It’s natural to compare them but besides all 3 of them being friends I think Fetti and Alfredo have slightly different flavors than Piñata and Bandana.

Ive had enough spins to proclaim - Definitely my album of the year

I dont wanna detract from how dope this album is but I must say I've been listening to Pinata and Bandana as a result of Alfredo dropping and this just isn't on the same level of those two projects.

No disrespect. I absolutely LOVE this album but this is nowhere near Pinata and is a notch below Bandana for me. When Madlib crafts a project from start to finish there is just so much that you uncover with each listen. Alc is very similar in that fashion and Lib is clearly a huge influence for him bc there there are alot of similarities between them now and I think Alc has evolved in so many ways. Alot of it has to do with his relationship with Madlib and Oh No IMO.

Long story short this project is dope, I'm not trying to take away from it by comparing it to the Madlib projects. ALC can do no wrong with me right now.

Oh and I LOVE the tracks with no drums btw :mjgrin:

Still in heavy rotation, moreso than anything else this year. To me Ka and Gibbs got the best rap albums so far.

I never thought we'd get a full Gibbs/Alch album brehs. Will we get the next "no way" project...ie Roc Marci/Alch this year?
:wow::mjcry:
