Scottie Beam verse mad topical :wow:

Skinny Suge :damn:

Con and Benny on seperate tracks and they're completely different but crazy :banderas:

The line where he says "God told me to sell crack to give me something to rap about", on Something To Rap about is hilarious.

Expected some profound shyt. He laid it down flat :pachaha:

People talking about Future being on a run but my guy Freddie been feeding the skreets for the past 10 years :to:
No matter how much time passes, people will always show respect to a rapper that can spit. That melodic style has been around and lately seems to get more coverage but traditional rhyming will always get people's attention. Love Fewtch but I'm not going to him for bars.

And we can be totally honest about Fred, he should be mentioned with Drake, Cole and Kendrick. He's been consistently putting out great music since he came out, only thing setting him apart is he doesn't have the sales and co-signs like them.

Baby $hit too Boldy James for my taste. Flow. Tone is too similar at the beginning.

Besides his albums with Alc I ain't that familiar with Boldy, so apologies if it's a common style of his, but if anything I'd think that Boldy rhymes like Gibbs sometimes, more so than the other way around. But I 1st hears Freddie in 2010 and became a fan in 2011. I never heard Boldy until 2013 and never heard him rhyming with more of a double-time flow until recently.

This is the one.

Covert Coup and now this almost a full decade later?

Madlib and Alc really are the best 2 producers of the past decade, top 5 all time easily, and Gibbs is the best emcee of the past decade. His catalogue is unfukkwithtable. He's got classic albums, albums likely to be classic, albums that aren't classic but are solid 4+ mics, and classic mixtapes. Not to mention he always crushes guest spots, can do most styles, and can sing pretty good.

A lot of cats on here are gonna say Roc Marci has the spot, but I think Gibbs' versatility and ability to make shyt that appeals to both mainstream and underground heads gives him an edge there.

Its Gibbs so it's real good but this isnt grabbing me like Pinata/Bandana/Fetti

Gibbs is in my top 10 and he been the most consistent mc of his generation but I can understand some criticisms he gets now

His monotone delivery can kinda makes tracks feel kinda similar
Sometimes he does kinda use a flow that is kinda like one big run-in sentence
Lyrical content is obv pretty limited but I dont mind that much

After one listen, didn't really get a strong urge to run it back immediately like previous projects

Not hating tho, I def fw this

I also love Alc but his beats on this weren't terribly interesting. I woulda hoped he woulda outdid Lib.....but:ld:
