I remember learning later that they had to pull this song off of the official release because it was a Pharrell beat that wasn't cleared or paid for.

I think Pharrell later said it was all good because the song was dope. I don't think anybody realized that was his voice on the hook at the time.

I thought the voice was familiar but never knew it was Pharrell :ohhh:

Forgot how dope this tape and CDiH is. I was bumping str8 killa no filla mixtape all week. Memory lane, when xxl was relevant
I'm probably the only person who likes and plays Gibbs older work more than his newer stuff. Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs, Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik ,Str8 Killa No Filla, Cold Day In Hell, BFK still get heavy rotation.

His newer more recent shyt is dope as well but I prefer his throwback projects more

The new shyt is definitely heat but when Freddie was grindin that boy was hungry!
Thuggin is still my favorite song by him and Piñata ain’t even my favorite project by him. It’s great though. Madlib is an alien on the boards. Dilla doing collab albums like Madlib would be crazy. I still play Jaylib joints lol.
