I didn’t think the rx dudes were terrible. The music was pretty average for the time. It goes to show that the ones who live their raps (the street shyt) aren’t often very good at rapping. It ends up being a novelty that people move on from.
I wouldn't say HPJ is a better rapper than Gibbs but I also wouldn't say he's average

An truth be told Gibbs has regressed as a rapper low key. He still a dope storyteller but he's exhausted the flow and the gangsta bars don't hit the same after Benny and them handled him

I got no problems with what you said, I even agree with the regression.

It sucks to see movements and groups like Drug/hoodrxch live their raps, and end up locked the fukk away/killed. Now we have to see if their music was good enough to touch fans to the point of continuing to support the ones that are able to continue to make it.

:why:
Breh whole sentence makes me feel like you haven’t really listened to anybody we mentioned in this conversation aside from 2 ABN songs. Wtf busta got to do with this, that’s an entirely different flow? Twista didn’t rap every song like he was going for the Guinness record. When Gibbs raps, it’s exactly like Twista, Buk, etc.

:mjlol:
I don’t identify with the national guard. You working out the wrong shyt, go work on you. I can listen and acknowledge the music is good, like a grown ass man. I’m not gon do the mehki phifer cry, and act like a 5th grader that found out wrestling isn’t real.

Man Wtf part of living is crying to us about a liar when you listen to a genre full of liars?
Nah. He jumped on that Texas shyt, the whole flow. I only worked it out a few years later after he was on his gangsta Gibbs run.

He got progressively worse (or less effective) as the beatings and actual truths of his persona stacked up outside the studio.

He’s a deadbeat too, rape in Europe, beat his first kids mother and she left him, the porn one made accusations etc. I don’t usually subscribe to that sort of salacious nonsense, but it’s hard to ignore after a few.

You pile all these shortcomings up, yet you’re still enamoured enough to keep it on repeat? I’ll play a joint here or there on a run or in the gym, but for fukks sake, it’s damn near impossible to listen outside of a track at best.

  • How come you didn't rap about getting run out of Gary then? (But had it removed from YouTube in the early part of your career.)
  • How come you didn't rap about your dad being a police chief? Not officer, chief.
  • How come you didn't rap about being in the airforce?
None of these scary enough?

What a dipshyt. If you listen to this Gumby looking gimp in 2024 then you're a gimp,

He has:

Surviving off cold cuts and cold Spam
Can't see eye to eye with my old man
Hiding my insecurities with this gang flag
We both despise the police but he wore the same badge
And as I child I admired that now I wonder how
He was a pig, but you was barely making 20 thou
I guess that's why you put me on that lick for 20 pounds
A life of crime is all we ever shared from then to now
And I'm a crook and you crooked, that's all we got in common

Nah for real, I didn’t even know about the DV shyt, thank you for bringing it up.

I always laugh when he rhymes about being a father like “all the hoes can’t be wrong Fred…” nikka trying to set a world record for child support apparently, he’s racking that shyt up like a Visa statement.
