Gibbs is SO above trap rap. nikka is talented, versatile, but put shyt like this out. C'mon man

From first listen, I got a couple keepers to bang in the whip. But this going in the Shadow of Doubt/ESGN category for me, Gibbs projects I tolerate and got a few favorites, but don't listen to regularly
Shadow of a doubt / Pronto are easily his best projects. you buggin

We'll agree to disagree. It's the beauty of Gibbs as a rapper and his catalog tho, some people have favorites on two totally different ends of the spectrum. I prefer when his spittin straight focused bars compared to the mumble rap

I'm more of a Str8 Killa/Cold Day in Hell/Pinata myself

I been listening to since 09 when The Miseducation came out, so I can appreciate it all

A little monotonous for me, needed a little more singing or samples, something like that. "Rear View" is a perfect Gibbs song, these beats are hard, but lack heart or urgency. Has some songs worthy of playing, but feels like practice.

Triple Threat and Diamonds 2 are dope as fukk, that beat and breakdown on Diamonds 2 is masterful production.

Yeah you right bruh. I been following Freddie career since the Interscope days and dude was rapping on deep house beats on his earlier shyt and FLOWING. I;m at the office now so I can't post youtube links but the song was hard as fukk and it was since that I was like damn, I can't ever put this nikka in a box creatively if he flowing over deep house beats and keepin it hip hop. He has always switched it up and never stayed with just one sound. Sometime it is hit or miss but at least he takes risk with his shyt and doesn't keep a boring stale sound. A lot of fans don't seem to get this and just want what they want though :yeshrug:
Post that song please breh
