I'm not hearing what the rest of this thread is. He's clashing with the beat instead of riding in tandem with it.
I said it before...dude sounds like he's freestyling all these verses now
The flow is the flow, we know what it is. Dope. But like...this is kinda...mid to me...and the sample makes it worse. We've heard someone body this beat, as hard as anyone can body a beat. With lines and delivery that can give you chills to this day. Fast forward to this song and there's not a line that even stands out. It feels like a freestyle more than a song.
Gibbs too concerned about proving he's a great rapper. And now that he's getting on bigger platforms and reaching more people...he's reaching people who don't give a fukk whether you're a great rapper or a pedestrian rapper. They just want a dope beat and some cool lines or fukkery, plus a great hook. I feel like he really needs a producer to PRODUCE him and tell him not only slow down, but improve your enunciation. Breh be rapping so fast he's slurring his words and skipping letters and shyt.
He could have spit some real shyt at a lower tempo. We know the sample. Nothing chill or reflective about this joint

Dude used to be extremely crisp when he dialed the speed up. I noticed he started that slurring shyt on You Only Live 2wice. 24 Karat Jesus sounds like shyt right before the beat switch

Nailed it. This is why dude will never be a star, true household name. Again I fukk with Gibbs heavy but he be too reliant on that double time flow shyt. It really does sound like a freestyle and not a thought out song. I just dont see him having the X factor it takes to be a truly pop rapper. Doesnt have the easily repeatable lines and hooks....I get why ppl complain his shyt can be kinda like a run-on sentence. Slow.the.fukk.down

In retrospect the song is just an entire quotable. One of Nas most impressive performances on the mic. He kinda but a stamp on that, like let’s put the crown back where it’s suppose to be.
Gibbs did his thing and this is cool to me but a track with a noticeable sample Gibbs spazzed on “Crushed Glass” set the bar for him imo. And this doesn't come close.

im not sure whats going on. if it's a random mix then ok.... thats what you are supposed to do just for fun and its going to be basic and thats fine. but it seems like he has this whole bunny theme going for a reason like a major release and if that's the case, this wont do. noobody is ever going to capture the you're the man energy
