He basically had no skillset but for hitting hard and that was until Stipe crossed his path who has a black belt in Jiujitsu and that is how he took Francis down. Today Francis took that power away from Stipe and Stipe was shocked when he did that. You could see the hopelessness in his facial expression when that happened. Stipe tried something stupid that would have ended him sooner or later anyway. and he got out boxed.

Stipe was clearly outmatched in this fight from the outset, even if Francis hadn't put his lights out, the decision would have still went to him. This is the exact opposite of what Stipe was able to do to him in 2018. Francis was hands down the better fighter tonight.

Y'all gotta let that bullshyt go, Stipe will still go down as one of the best heavyweights in UFC based on his record title defenses alone but it's over if he can't bounce back from this at 38. His window is closing but he's at worst 2nd or 3rd in line for a title shot.
