Adesanya is from New Zealand

:troll:

Seriously tho, it started with golf and Tiger Woods then tennis with the Williams sisters and now UFC. Let's not mention boxing, track, NBA and NFL for now.

I'm convinced Black people are dominant in all sports if given the chance.

Honestly, I think Derrick will smoke JJ as well.

People underestimate how strong these guys are that have to cut weight to make HW. I'm taking any of the top HW's against Jones. The worst possible matchups for him are Gane, Ngannou and Blaydes. He will not be able to use his wrestling against someone like Blaydes and would actually get controlled. Strikers like Gane and Ngannou will sleep him. Even Adesanya remarked that there is a noticeable difference in power from MW to LHW. These HW people are sleeping guys with single punches.

Jones is probably the most skilled fighter of all time, but as you move up in weight, there becomes a diminishing returns on skill. Guys at HW don't need to be highly skilled to get the job done. You can dominate Lewis for 5 rounds and he just lands a right hook that will have Herb Dean standing over you.

Funny enough, Stipe is the only HW I'm giving Jones a chance against because he relys more on skill than power. He can beat the mid-tier and lower tier guys as well. People also have to understand that JJ will not nearly be as fast as he was at LHW. The extra weight means more power, but it means more labored punches. He will not be used to moving around with all that extra weight.

Facts. And Derrick has the most pound for pound KO's (in HW).

People were shocked (including myself) after seeing what Francis did to Overeem. And that guy can take shots to the chin. Age does play part of course, because in the fight with Tyrone Spong (while Tyrone Spong is the second hardest hitter after Francis), Overeem took them shots and laughed them off. Now nobody want to fight Spong.

All the pressure is on Francis for this fight. He's up against someone who has already beaten him comfortably, is the champ and has become the consensus greatest heavyweight fighter since they last fought. Not to mention that if he loses, then he would have lost twice to the same guy. At that point, you know that they are simply better than you.

On paper, Stipe should win again, but Francis has that Wilder factor, which is that he makes up for what he lacks in skill with power. But can the power factor be mitigated again a la Fury? That remains to be seen. Comparatively speaking, Ngannou is more skilled than Wilder is. Francis is also tough as nails, and is hard to control, let alone finish.

From a technical standpoint, if he can show good ttd, he puts himself in a good position to win, otherwise it will be a very tough fight for him. The most important skill that will be tested is his cardio. If he doesn't put Stipe away early, then it will also be difficult to keep up with Stipe when the fight gets deep. Francis needs to utilize his kicks and not fall in love with throwing bombs. He has the advantage in every single physical metric, but Stipe is simply the more skilled fighter.

I think if Francis catches Stipe flush early it's lights out. I am going to go with Francis KO/TKO rd 2.

That was my pre-fight analysis btw.

I don't just talk, I give analysis. And imo, Jones gets smoked badly against Ngannou.

The issue is that they worked on all his weaknesses, which included his stamina. There's not such thing as taking him to deep waters (any longer). Nor is Stipe more skillful. He once was, but no more. This is evident in the ground game by Francis. Francis skillset has improved with Jiujitsu, high kicks, patience, stamina etc.
