Not a christian, but I agree with @MMS. I'm actually a pagan/ animist. But I dont do spellwork. Ime, spells are for when you cant actually do the magic yourself organically. Like, I currently have an indoor garden to supplement our leafy green purchases (WF ain't even have no kale a few days ago, tf??!).
I could do a spell with the intent of encouraging growth, but why? I'd have to take the additional steps of a, deciding which entity to entreat, b, learning the basics of their worship, c, creating a ritual, d, gathering supplies for the ritual, and e, performing the ritual. I didn't even get into whether or not I actually wish to start a running tab with some new entity.
Instead, I use my own energy and entreat the plants directly. I speak to them, encourage them, and praise them. It's been effective.
That's the difference between 'doing spells' and being the magic yourself. When I want something, I just pin down what I need and the universe provides. One day, I decided that I needed to speak to somebody in marketing about a small business idea. Literally the next day, I met an old wm who was a 25 yr vet in the game AND was married to a bw who had started her own small biz in the same sector. Look at God! I didn't have to make no trades or agreements with no entities OR him. He answered my questions freely.
Dont engage with entities you dont understand and dont know. I've never not once seen that work out well. You open yourself up to shyt. I guess you could say that I perform magic constantly, look at my life, but I sleep well and have no soul debts.

To extrapolate a bit and bring it back to OP's desire for a gf, sometimes a negative state IS God tryna tell you something. Doing a spell to get the job or the girl might work short term, but it wont be 'right' bc the underlying reasons you didnt have them still exist. Like, if you dont have a girl bc your overall life is raggedy, it will still be raggedy. You'll just have the new problem of a girl who nags you to improve or, worse, the kinda bytch who dont care bc her shyt raggedy too, etc.

This right here is very important. There are a lot of people who engage in witchcraft/magic for money etc. I’m not going to judge anybody, however, there is always…always a debt/sacrifice that has to be paid in exchange. Some people never understand this.
