If you played Cyberpunk, The Witcher or any voiced jrpg and had no problem then this will be fine.

She was dropped off in a fantasy world, says fukk just like me and I’m from Jersey what’s the big deal here lol.

I liked Cyberpunk but absolutely hated the male V voiceover.

How is the combat - how does it feel? And, how deep is the combat system?

How is the exploration? Are the environments bland?

Is the story compelling - is there enough mystery or does it seem "by-the-book" storytelling?

I can get over bad dialogue and voiceovers (like I stated above, I got through Cyberpunk playing as the male V). So dialogue/voice acting aren't an issue for me.

Got about 5-6 hours what it so far….

Its one of the best parts of the game. It’s basically a 3rd person shooter where you using magic to perform combos, some of the dodging gets pretty iffy but its satisfying once you really get the hang of the different spells, feels very different from a lot of other games

Exploration is fun, its similar to games like prototype where you run fast and can run up buildings and large rocks and stuff. Its one of the best parts of the game so far. Environments are kind of whatever, its no elden ring/horizon

Is the story compelling - is there enough mystery or does it seem "by-the-book" storytelling?

Its very by the book so far, but its not bad its just very “seen this before” type fantasy stuff. If anything Frey and Cuff make it a bit more interesting

I can get over bad dialogue and voiceovers (like I stated above, I got through Cyberpunk playing as the male V). So dialogue/voice acting aren't an issue for me.

Then you’re already over the biggest hurdle of the game

I had to exit out of the review. He is nitpicking. Complaining about the dialogue, her being able to parkour over anything, cutscenes, and starting out with weak forms of magic. And that same reviewer liked Days Gone and wanted Days Gone 2. :comeon:

Thanks for the breakdown, I was already leaning towards buying it but held off because people were being negative. If all they have is some dialogue issues, they are unnecessarily nitpicking. :mjpls:

Combat is dope imo I came to post how much fun I’m having running around exploring the very first area after the intro

The banter between the two isn’t that bad either, exploring so far is good granted I’m not far at all there is a stamina system when you’re doing magic parkour so that is a little bummer but I could only assume you gain more as the game moves along

All that said I’m thoroughly enjoying this BUT I also like Horizon Zero Dawn and Last of US 2 so what I fukk with and “tolerate” may not be the same for you

My best advise is play for yourself if you can stomach a loss if the game is not to your liking. It seems to be another decisive game

The game seem okay to me from watching others play it, and every one playing think it's okay and around a 6-8/10 so far, but a lot of reviews seem to be going extra hard on this game.

I liked TLoU 1, I played a little of TLoU 2 and liked it but haven't gotten around to it - Sekiro, Nioh 2, PR5 Royal, and Elden Ring have taken up much of my gaming time over the past few years. Horizon Zero Dawn is a great game imo (I haven't played Horizon 2 yet).

I have a backlog but - outside BF2042 which I spent $100 on - I haven't bought a bad game.

I will be buying it once I get home today.

:myman:

I’ve noticed the ‘anti-woke’ crowd really champions Days Gone. It’s become like the game to fight for some some reviewers said they didn’t like the white male lead and found him generic

Exactly. I thought I was the only one that noticed it.

Him and that SkillUP guy have let me down alot in the last few reviews.

Midnight Suns is great and Gotham Knights was nowhere near bad.

Need some new reviewer blood.
