Y'all are missing the point about Punk talking about the part timers. These guys like Brock, Rock and Taker aren't there the next day. When Punk is there the next day every time after losing and gets put into a program with someone else, it diminishes the next program. It's just like when Hogan beat HBK at SummerSlam 2005. HBK took the immature route and made the match ridiculous and buried Hogan the next night on RAW. Punk did his jobs and kept it moving on TV. When you lose three times that way in one calendar year, it's definitely frustrating.

I don't buy that. That's a whiny way of looking at it. A true all time great on the mic can make all that stuff work for them. Rock lost a lot on television in 2000. He almost got more over by the week because he was magnificent at being THE ROCK. It wasn't about wins and losses. That is lost on CM Punk. He has a "ME! ME! ME" mentality...he didn't know how to do what Rock did and it led to him losing steam.

He wasn't passed over. Punk was the clear #2 in the company. Bryan may have taken his spot but that's part of the game. Either way, nobody outside of the part timers is fukkin with John Cena right now so they have to either wait it out or PROVE that they can be the next John Cena.

Of course.. creative is pretty shytty so I can see how that would also be frustrating but shyt, you are the #2 guy in the company and making millions of dollars regardless. You took your time off, you walked out and they were STILL willing to do business with him. Eventually they had to cut ties and did. Was it petty to do so on his wedding day? Maybe but that's life.. if you no longer fukking with someone and you got some shyt to say, they may not be courteous..

Not at all. Get as much as you can out of the business. But don't cry to me because you're not THE guy. Should a top executive of a company walk out because he's not the CEO? That's his call but at some point you need to understand that where you are isn't a bad place to be..

He walked out and got as much as he could and so you saying he should be complacent with being behind a glass ceiling ? It's his job man but he couldn't even get time off to not burn out or heal his body .

AJ is an interesting case because she does have her fanbase and contrary to what people think, despite her not being on Total Divas (for obvious reasons) I think they still value her and that division.
The fact they even let her cut that shoot of a promo on Raw against the Bellas makes me think they aint gonna get rid of her and bury her. Also it seems from all accounts she isn't leaving yet

But she's kinda in this Owen Hart post-Monteral kinda place I guess?

CM Punk was over and is still over. Rock didn't have to worry about guys like Hogan, Macho Man, Bret and HBK coming in and taking the main event spots whenever he was on the rise. When Rock lost, he got his win back in the Attitude era. Punk's point is he will never have the opportunity to wrestle these guys again. He mentioned that he asked if he'll have a rematch against Brock and was told no. Punk emphasizes that he's always looking at long-term booking, but the WWE stooges only care about short-term booking.

oh gtfo already. rock was already the top guy in 2000 and had the company's full endorsement. if he lost in 2000 it was due to shady circumstances because under no circumstances was vince ever prepared to tell his audience that someone else on the roster was better.

if rock all of a sudden could not beat billy gunn then you tell me how he's able to recover from that.

I feel sad for the guy honestly. For your employer to make you hate your dream job is a worst case scenario in my eyes. you want him to be happy with being #2... but you don't understand that when you believe deep down that you're #1... being #2 isn't enough.

obviously it wasn't about the money anymore. once he made his money and he didn't have to rely on wrestling to make a living, he was able to follow his heart. and his heart told him that no matter how hard he tries, no matter how many times he proves himself... the company was never going to give him that opportunity.
