UPDATE (9/10/15):
Nicole B. Jones—the woman who went by the name Jazmine Cashmere in the adult film industry—released a YouTube video called "the truth" last night distancing herself from this controversy and saying that she was not the person tweeting from the @JazmineCashmere account. In the video, Jones also talked about how she has turned over a new leaf and found God. You can watch the video here:
Jones' real Twitter handle is @gods_child_1st. The @JazmineCashmere Twitter account has been disabled.

Weirdly, we now live in a world where adult film stars calling out professional athleteshas become a fairly common thing. Back in July, Mia Khalifa made major headlines for exposing Bills safety Duke Williams for attempting to slide into her DMs on Twitter. So while it'd be easy to dismiss the latest claims made by a porn star named Jazmine Cashmere, it's also hard to completely ignore them. Time and time again, we've been reminded that athletes do mess with adult film stars—and that their "relationships" with them usually end up getting pretty messy.
With all of that in mind, here's the latest scoop: Last night, Jazmine Cashmere took to her Twitter account—a Twitter account that has been around since May 2011 but that doesn't have any tweets prior to last night on it—and called a Knicks player out for not paying her for her, er, "services." She didn't reveal the name of the Knick, but she did allude to who it might be:
So one of y'all favorite NBA players don't wanna pay me the rest of my money after eating this last week smh
Just when I was about to root for the Knicks this year. Now I hope they lose every game. Petty I know.
Don't text me now bytch! I bet your wife would love to know about our little secret meetings when you on the road during the season.
Phil Jackson need to trade your sorry ass. You ain't did shyt for the last couple years but take the Knicks money.
She continued by putting the player's phone number on Twitter and by sarcastically wishing the Knicks nothing but the best after revealing that her "money just arrived" in a since-deleted tweet:

At that point, people started to question her story and to call her out for lying, so she responded by saying that she had an incriminating video of the player in question:

And a short time later, she also revealed the name of the player. It was none other than—gasp—Carmelo Anthony. She did this by releasing the phone number she had released earlier and urging people to use it to "Call Melo":
From there, she spent some time retweeting stuff that Knicks and Melo haters were sending her. She also asked who wanted to see the video that she claimed to have:

But after all of that, about 10 hours after the first tweet that she sent about Melo, she announced that lawyers had contacted her about the video and that she wouldn't be putting it out unless someone helped her pay off the $10 million lawsuit that would come as a result of it:

Tape may never see the light of day now. $10 million lawsuit
Sorry folks. Unless y'all gonna help me pay that $10 million lawsuit
So is any of this actually factual? If we had to guess, no. We tried calling the number that Jazmine Cashmere put on Twitter, and it went straight to voice mail. But this isn't the first
incredibly crazy Carmelo rumor to hit Twitter this summer, so who knows? Regardless of whether it's true or not, Melo just can't catch a break on social media.
