Yeah, Mads Mikkelsen is excellent. At least he got best actor at Cannes for The Hunt, and he's bound to get praise for doing a fantastic Hannibal Lecter in the new series. On the subject of Danish personalities, I gotta mention Lars von Trier as well. Haven't gotten around to see Nymphomaniac yet, but the two he directed before that were great:

The Great Beauty, Italian movie.



Cinematographically it's very beautiful, intellectually it's reasonably interesting.
But it's not very fast-paced. So most Americans get bored of it after a while.
The movie's like whiskey basically, meant to be sipped slowly.

i almost chose it for the film club movie..its one of those that sticks with you for some reason

i just peeped Diabolique on hulu plus. it was dope.. very hitchcock

Saw this at the theater a few months ago..it's a dark romantic horror comedy..I recommend it to take your girl to..it's not really a horror movie as it is more of a movie about dependence to blood like a drug addict..I thought it dealt with the addiction of blood and like drugs you can get sick if you get some bad blood from someone with cancer or aids or other diseases..the movie is mostly dialogue..so if you're expecting any action from this vampire film you're gonna be disappointed ..good movie

Yeah they had leather love seat couches in the theater and there's a bar inside..so I was sipping a gin martini and my girl was drinking a grey hound kicking back

One of my favorite films ever........... I wish they would have gotten together in the end. Would have made it that much more perverse.

Finally got around to watching The Skin I live in, but this post spoiled the ending for me.
