Really good movie, was a bit afraid of the length (two and a half hours) but it was very well paced and didn't feel to be that long (although I still think the story could've been told in a shorter time).
It does a great job of pulling you in with the characters of Shelby and Miles with both Damon and Bale giving great performances. The writing is very good too outside of the shoddy 'the corporate suit who is an ass all the goddamn time' trope. The build-up to the climactic Le Mans race is great and exhilarating. Fun fact: in most parts of the world the movie is actually called Le Mans '66 because nobody outside of dumb American rednecks would buy into this Ford vs Ferrari narrative. If anything the movie really boils down to 'Race experts vs Ford employees'.
Not that the Le Mans title is that big of a deal though because the event is nowhere near as important and big as it once was. Anyway, as said it's very good and I think if you liked Rush a couple years ago you'll like this too.
