Who ever directed Rogue really understood how good star wars can be.
I rank a Rogue One as one of the better star wars movies. Better than ROTJ imo.

If it wasn't for Empire Strikes Back, Rogue One probably would be considered the best Star Wars movie. Disney has fukked up this franchise so bad, say what you want about the prequel trilogy but at least those FELT like Star Wars movies, this new trilogy is .

Once I saw TLJ, I was absolutely flabbergasted as to how they would follow up a high quality spin off with such a garbage entry in a main trilogy. I was done Star Wars after that, I haven't even watched The Mandalorian yet.

TBH it looks like they purposely put the most nerdy geeky appearing actors to appease alot of the nerdy geeky fans. Like they took the franchise for some joke.

It goes beyond that, Jyn Erso is arguably the best protagonist of the whole series bruh, with REAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. They want Star Wars to be narrative driven when it's not, people love Star Wars because of the larger than life characters. Disney just doesn't understand Star Wars and the Last Jedi and Solo(which I didn't think was that bad, but it was definitely not asked for) show that. They don't develop any of these characters or their backgrounds. Kylo Ren is evil because why... Mommy and daddy didn't 'love' him enough as a child with his SILVER fukkING SPOON in his mouth? Rey is able to pull off incredible things with the force with ZERO TRAINING. Snoke was a complete waste of time. Finn is a joke.

Solo was only bad because.nobody asked for a Han Solo movie. He is the only character from the original trilogy where his acting outshined the character himself. Everyone wants an Obi Wan Kenobi movie, hell I'll even take a Darth Maul after the duel on Naboo movie. How about a Mace Windu movie? Maybe the Old Republic(which Disney has thrown out the EU which was a GOLDMINE of ideas for them). George Lucas was just stagnant with the franchise, but Disney has just fumbled the fukking rock on almost every level with Star Wars since they bought the IP. If it wasn't for Rogue One and Mandalorian there would be NOTHING to talk about with these Disney Star Wars movies.

The fact that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has better characters and narratives than any of these new movies(7-9) is pitiful. Honestly they could have made a movie trilogy based off that game that would have been better than what they put on screen with 7-9.
