Hell yeah a lot of them blk folk bourgeois...

One thing philmonroe saying is right...If you're broke and not bout shyt where you at now, chances are high you will be the same in ATL.

Plenty people ballin, but there's plenty people hurting too!

I touched on the subject of fake ballin too. nikkas in the spots like they REALLY have shyt going on...and that Escalade on E outside.

Philmonroe wrong in that you can get it poppin anywhere as easily as in ATL. The barriers have been knocked down for the most part. Plus the there's a larger population of black people who will support your belief.
Fam we might not agree but thank you for at least understanding what the fukk Ive being trying to say with the first bold. I don't know why cats make shyt that hard to understand. Maybe you can't get it poppin as easy as in the A but my main thing was a hustler going to hustle and link up with like minded people no matter where they at. That was the main point of what I was saying but some of these cats hearing all types of weirdo shyt in their heads that have nothing to do with what I was saying.

#truthbomb.

:patrice:I reckon through, how could a feller transmit this mentality within his own local community?
You have to link up with like minded people and usually bring something to the table. That's how it usually goes you help me and vice versa. Maybe if you're extraordinary at something people will help for the later pay off but just like Tariq and others have said before you can't just beg and guilt your way into cats helping. It usually doesn't work that way. Also look online for groups that are into the stuff your into and you can link up like that too through Skype, FaceTime, etc. If you want it its ways to get you started out here good luck.

Shut the fukk up you simple ass nikka
You and your boy @chkmeout :umad: For no reason other than we disagree. That's not a good look fam if you got real stuff to say say it or take your own advice cause you're not showing yourself as very complex either.

It's hard in cities where the barriers haven't been knocked down. Since the barriers are up even black people will doubt your chance at success. Plus their minds not even ready to believe.

In my city, Jacksonville, at one time we were on the road to becoming black Hollywood. There was a thriving black community. Cacs saw that shyt going on and took measures to knock the buildings down. There were race riots, murders, and the whole nine. City still hasn't recovered. Most blacks here are on that street shyt now.

This is a small example of how your city may not be accepting of black excellence.

On top of that you can have the police harassing your business, the city making b.s. ordinances aimed at your business, alcohol licensing being more tedious than necessary, etc.

A lot of cities haven't overcome this. Even Chicago has this problem surface with blacks trying to establish something.

Thank you fam but I don't think I have a myopic way of thinking at all. I think on here at times this place gets to "state property" ish get down or lay down regarding views. I see things a different way based of my experiences and those of people around me but I'm wrong and everybody else is right. That's weak to me we aren't a monolith but at times some of y'all want everybody to have the same damn views even though we might have lived completely different lives and or had different experiences. Let's be real that's not fair but as long as I'm not in majority with my views on a topic its cool for people to jump on me. Its cool cause that's life but sad at the same time esp from other blacks that we can't at minimum agree to disagree. I also never said I don't see the importance of black cities are y'all just playing a game of telephone? I'm of a belief that you can have success at various places y'all disagree cool but I've posited before cases of success in other cities. My point is if they can do it so can others but somehow it gets lost in the mob of cats wanting to just say I'm wrong.

Even though I disagree about being myopic I still appreciate the nice response. Props

I agree we should be able to agree to disagree around here.

I'll say this and be done with it. I think your view is myopic because you are trying to view things from the exception and not the rule. No one denies that blk can do well in other places, but we aren't talking about the chances of that happening, we're talking about the probability of it happening for most blacks. Just because one knows others that have prospered elsewhere doesn't make the case that it's easy or more probable to do. We're talking about increasing the odds to not only prosper but if one is so inclined, to strive and thrive for ownership of business. I personally think most blk ppl, myself included, lack the guidance and knowledge to get to a higher level of success. However lacking those things are just a function of not being around the right ppl. All the ppl you know that have made it didn't do it alone, and I'd implore you to search out those origins as to not come across as either naive or intellectually dishonest about this topic.

Bold is a cheap shot that wasn't necessary. I never said they did it alone not once. Nobody does it alone and I've said so in many threads before. Also I know how the people got there and two are my parents so I'm 100% sure I know their origins. I'm not some idiot that just think anybody can buy success in a box. If I'm saying people can make it I shouldn't have to say everybody can't make it. We all know that already so obviously I'm speaking more to those that are trying to go for that big goal which is people in these threads. All of them can't make it either but with so few really trying its more open than people think.

The rest of what you typed I have no problem with even though we will just have to agree to disagree on myopic. I want to believe that more black people can make it big than are currently doing so. I will gladly keep being naive on that if that's what being naive entails. As far as you not having the guidance and knowledge do you even know what it is that you want to do? Whatever it is there has to be some type of help available in your city to help you out. Whatever it is I wish you the best.

Where I'm buying a house next year :blessed:
yeah, they have some nice homes in the south fulton area. Not as far down as Union City but right near 285 and south fulton parkway + camp creek like you said. Good areas. Not sure about home prices though.

THIS.

I live in one of these Middle Ga towns, and there is absolutely NOTHING for 18-24 yr old black person to do job wise. My brother moved back here after college, couldn't find anything he likes, he ended up moving to Vegas , got a job within a month pushing timeshares.

The only saving grace is we do have some blacks in power at the political level, but our school system is so horribly bad that all the people with money moving across county lines...

:dead: at people thinking a lot of smaller cities in the south are good places to live because many of them are majority black.

These towns are like South Africa at the height of apartheid. Towns of 100,000 to 300,000 are catching more bodies than Atlanta and the schools are such :trash: it's not uncommon for :flabbynsick: cats in low income neighborhoods to legit not be able to read or write.

LOL! You obviously NOT from here.....I'm from Birmingham bro. Gentrification has taken place in more than a few neighborhoods since i been here. You talking like it's black freedom down here or something?! Yes, black people are more ingrained but those at the top are still white. This is a red state...don't forget that. Atl goes blue for the most part but I've met more than a few racist people in this fukking city. Whites still scared, hell, even blacks stereotype other blacks here. What are you thinking this shyt is down here?

Georgia as a state is red. And not even for too much longer. We pretty close to going purple and then blue in the next 10 years. But the city of Atlanta is run by Black people and so is Dekalb, Fulton and Clayton Counties.

And gentrification is only touching the area's that was super ratchet back in the day. Plenty of areas in the A where nikkas own they shyt and they not hurting to sell. Outside of the West End, Pittsburgh and maybe Oakland City them Cacs won't touch SW Atlanta. Yeah they buying up areas like Eastlake and Kirkwood but outside of the Bluff and maybe Bankhead and Simpson east of Westlake Ave they won't find too many other areas where they can scam some poor Black folks. You think them old head Black folks in hoods like Mozley Park, Ben Hill and Collier Heights about to sell they shyt to some Cacs bruh? You don't know the A. And forget about Cascade. Them Cacs wouldn't even dare to pull that move. And that's because they may not like us but they respect us. White people only respect 2 things...money and power. And nikkas in those areas I listed have both

im looking to move back to the east coast. Trying to get a job in the philly/delaware area. But after reading this, i may need to give Baltimore a shot. Should i be looking at Baltimore before Philly? I have kids so i would probably live in the suburbs of Bmore.

Bruh you in the 215? Cmon bruh, there are nikkas getting to the money everywhere but outside of a few cities you not gonna see large groups of Black folks doing they thing. And Philly ain't one of them. nikkas is getting money in NY, ATL, DC, LA, and Chicago but outside of a few areas in Texas and a few in NC that's it. Even Detroit nikkas get more money than Philly nikkas.
LA? :mjlol:
