Well this is the problem...I AM in those circles so for all this talk about not being plugged, in...it kinda matters. I won't lie...I can't mingle with dudes who aren't about it...and if education is that barrier, i'm willing to admit that. But we need a standard out here. You can't save everyone.

being an HBCU grad working a corporate gig and being part of Atlantas Black Middle class i find this to be a real intresting dynamic. pretty much there is a blue print to get into these circles which is to 1.Go to an HBCU Tech, Emory, or some Ivy league, be greek, go to one of the historic black churches in the city, my gripe with Atlantas talented 10th community is that its a bunch lf people trying to out do each other, it is up to our generation to use these networks tk make moves that make sense for the greater community and of course our pockets/building wealth.

But everyone I know is pulling that paper. Lets not pretend that every white person is out here balling too.

ATL has a real legit core community of movers and shakers and getting into that circle is a priority of the highest degree. You can't be mad that they won't lower their standards just to pretend that being black is just enough.

The good thing about ATL is that if you have the credentials, you will be just fine.

What I'm talking about is people who move to ATL just to drive FedEx trucks or something else that really just an entry-level job.

Work is everywhere...but if you're rally about starting a political or economic base...then we can talk.

We need to distinguish this stuff.

See, i've got no problem with pushing people to move to black communities. I got ties from the SWATS to Clay Co and Henry County up to Alpharetta and Johns Creek...

but...all those people are DOING IT.

They're not fukking bartenders or doing hair. They're business people in finance, law, medicine, engineering, healthcare, management, entrepreneurship ...and not bullshyt entrepreneurship of running some franchise but actual hardcore businesses that create products and weave their assets into tight relationships with their communities in ways that their communities come to rely on their presence.

Of course, there needs to be an "Agenda Class", my thing is ive said in other threads we need to focuse more on creating an economic base that protects us, Atlanta has more of a situation where there are more so blacks who can play the game with the White supremacist than blacks creating a system of protection. Well to do blacks still send their kids to white private schools patron white high class establishments ,etc. Imo Atlanta should have had an elite Private school a long time ago, we have some good Charter schools but with the amount of blacks doing it big we should have some of the best black run private schools in the nation. Also we lack strong intown communities, its more so we will have a few businesses and our churches are in town but we live in the outskirts.
