What's interesting is the team playing tonight is the team Joe D wanted, no Josh Smith, Gore wanted the addition of Josh, not saying the Jennings signing was good but at least it would have only been one bad signing on a better contract

:mjpls:We gonna act like KCP didn't start for 2 months avg 25-30 minutes a game
I'm certainly not gonna argue with that. I don't think it was a minutes thing. I think it's just harder to find a offensive rhythm with Smith and Jennings out there trying to see who can take the dumbest shots. One thing that can be said about tonights game is that he was allowed to be much more aggressive than he was when he was playing in the lineup with Smith there. They primarily used him as a spotup shooter and I think his offensive game is more diverse than that. I don't think he's gonna be as good as his numbers were today obviously, but I don't think he's as bad as his season #'s either. Bad coaching in a terribly run offense pretty much set him up for failure. What we saw tonight is how the offense should have been ran all year, but Smith throws a huge monkey wrench in the gameplan if he's forced to start with those guys.

The whole season was a trainwreck and the coaching was bad. I hope KCP improves over the summer and comes back ready to play, but I don't put much stock into one game when he had over half the season playing 25 mpg or more. Playing on a bad team is even more reason to go out there and show yo ass when you get on the court, but instead KCP was timid. What's done is done and I hope homie blossoms next year cause they need all the help they can get.

I didn't say crown the man, just making a realistic assessment on what happened tonight vs the other times when he was getting heavy minutes. And I don't think its as simple as he could just go out there and show his ass cause the team was bad. That would completely ignore the hierarchy of the team, flawed as it may be. Him being a rookie, he wasn't just gonna be out there gunning without the players and coaches blessing. He could have certainly been more aggressive though.

You don't need to place all your faith in 1 game, but that doesn't mean ignore the context in which that game took place. The lineup and style of play is much more conducive to winning and complimentary to the individual players skillsets than what we've seen most nights this season. I for certain need a better player to replace Singler though. Watching him and Jennings turnstile d was the fukking worst.

I would bet money that players and coaches was telling kcp to be more aggressive and shoot the ball and look for his shot. Lol hierarchy of the team, that's like still listening to the captain of the titanic when you know the ship going down. If will Bynum got the green light I woulda had the green light:mjlol:

They need to buy Jennings out his contract and singler got no business playing more than a 8th man off the bench roll.
