One of my favorite weeks brehs! Toronto and Montreal Masters this week.
Let's get this started:
Isner/Dimitrov/Sock - 300 to win 232.86
Isner is playing Sela, who he should overwhelm tbh. Dimitrov is playing Sugita who is dangerous, but only if you let him be. Not a go-getter type and Dimitrov should handle him. Sock is playing Kudla, who is a lightweight.
Youzhny -140 - 280 to win 200
Robert is an interesting opponent, but his recent resurgence has come on clay. He has had a mini-surgence earlier this year on hard court but only challengers with weak opponents. Youzhny has settled into a top 80 player having having tons of trouble with his decline, but he is finding himself. Robert isn't a big server at all and Youzhny should have advantages in both the serving and rally department. Of course, this is Youzhny's first match after the second clay season so the odds are as such, but this is his favorite surface.
Strycova -145 - 290 to win 200
Liking this play, Garcia does not match up well with Strycova, already losing two matches to his this year. Garcia lost early at Wimbledon, then took a half-hearted clay tournament later, which might mean she's in a bit of trouble confidence-wise.
Brengle +170 - 117.65 to win 200
Brengle is one of these dangerous American ladies who does well on hard court if she is feeling it, and she beat Makarova earlier this year. She didn't do well against Wickmayer last week, BUT Wickmayer won the whole tournament, so it's not a negative thing.
Kuznetsov -165 - 330 to win 200
This dude has been on a roll but is so anonymous IMO. He hasn't lost in the first round all year (except twice, vs Chardy on clay and on grass to Ivo - fair enough), and Harrison is capable of springing an upset but against mostly inconsistent types. Kuznetsov has beaten who he's supposed to all year, and is making runs at all the big tournaments, very calculated schedule.
I do my most damage in live play (but obviously can't post in this thread like that), so I'll be keeping two tallies.
