A real good fight. This one could of really been a draw as well. Canelo looked way better than the first fight by staying off the ropes mostly, and taking it to GGG. GGG didn't look as effective as he was in the first fight until later rounds when both fighters were very fatigued. I'am not upset with the decision it could have gone either way. They should do it again, to settle it in a trilogy.

Canelo came in leaner and his punches were way sharper this time around. He still showed some ring rust but he still wasn't pushing as many punches as the first fight. His punches tonight were stinging little g from the jump. I think it helped too that he kept training for the whole year. More fighters need to take on a floyd approach to the game and keep themselves in fighting shape year round. The shyt takes a crazy toll on your body to keep fluctuating in weight like that. I honestly believe that's the main reason floyd remained great well into old age. He wasn't just disciplined in the ring but outside of it as well. Can't be putting garbage in your body 8 months out of the year and expect to remain in great health for long.

I understand all the sacrifices these fighter's gotta make in training camp. They earn the right to indulge after a big fight. But going 4 months straight putting fast food and liquor in your body is some crazy shyt. A lot of these good fighters could actually be great if they just took better care of themselves between fights. We should all strive for the same too.

I'm high as fukk and going on a rant about healthy living and shyt:heh:.......I was about to write mad paragraphs on some philosophical shyt:mjlol:.....for real though. Respect your body brehs. Phsyical and mental health is one in the same. Let's try to be here for the long term. :myman:

It doesn't get any credit actually. He had Canelo missing wildly more often than expected.
Little g's defense was definitely a lot better than I gave him credit for. He had canelo barely missing some really heavy shots.

But a lot of canelo's wild ass punches are done to create some space for himself. When he senses an opponent gaining some forward momentum and closing the distance he'll throw some exaggerated shyt just to get em to back off. A lot of fighters do this but canelo is one of the best at it. Partly because his punches can be hard to read. Canelo's ring IQ is top notch. He's got a lot of tricks in there.

Dude's composure in the ring is floyd-esque now. I remember he would always get frustrated and sometimes let his emotions get the best of him. When opponents made him miss he would start getting pissed. When an opponent would land something clean on him he would get emotional and feel the need to answer back recklessly. Now when he gets hit clean, he can block that shyt out and remain focused. He almost never let's himself get too reckless anymore. Dude's growth as a fighter has been crazy to see.
