Man Canelo aint never picked apart a top boxer before and it damn sure aint gonna start May 5th :mjlol:.

If he sits in the pocket, he'll be a sitting duck for GGG to apply more pressure.

If GGG doesn't fight like a clown like he did the first few rounds of fight 1, he should win going away
it appears that GGG has been set up from day 1. he needs a KO or stoppage to win because it won’t happen on the cards...no way.

GGG shoulda just fought BJS from jump. :sadbron:

All this coulda been avoided if he took that catchweight in 2015 & got the scrap off Cotto :mjcry:.

Cotto still wouldn't have wanted that smoke even at a 153 or whatever the proposed catchweight was

That would have been an even worse version of cotto vs margarito. Cotto couldn't even slow margo down. He'll be getting pieced up by a bigger version with more much more power, a better jab and an even better chin who cuts off the ring almost as well as margo if not better (margo cut off sergio martinez well)

Golovkin: Canelo is Cheating, Using Drugs - De La Hoya is Dirty
IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) has erupted and made things very personal in the lead-up to his rematch with Canelo Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs).

Their second fight is scheduled for May 5th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The first encounter ended in a controversial twelve round split draw last September, at the same Las Vegas venue.

The rematch has come under fire after it was revealed two weeks ago that Canelo tested positive for clenbuterol, which the Mexican superstar attributes to eating contaminated meat.

Golovkin is not buying Canelo's excuse, which several other athletes have used in the country - including other boxers like Erik Morales, Francisco Vargas and Luis Nery.

"Again with Mexican meat? Come on," Golovkin said to media members on Tuesday.

"I told you, it's not Mexican meat. This is Canelo. This is his team. This is his promotion. ... Canelo is cheating. They're using these drugs, and everybody is just trying to pretend it's not happening."

Golovkin did not end things there - he believes Canelo has been using performance enhancing drugs for some time. He also took aim at Canelo's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions.

"It was pretty obvious when (Canelo's) muscles were all (enlarged) ... and with the traces of injections, which were visible," Golovkin said. "I can talk about Oscar De La Hoya, too. He is also not clean. He's dirty.

"You should take a look at the photos and ask a doctor. Ask any doctor. Let him explain what those (muscles) are. It's better even to use the lie detector. Then there wouldn't be any silly questions about meat or fruits or chocolate."

The rematch is still expected to go forward, even though the Nevada State Athletic Commission has not officially made a ruling on Canelo's tests.

If the second contest needed any further bad blood, it now has it.

Golovkin: Those Responsible For Draw Are Terrorists, Need Jail!

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin accused Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez of being a longtime user of performance enhancing drugs.

Golovkin rejected Canelo's explanation for failing two tests back in February, which came up positive for banned substance clenbuterol.

The undefeated puncher does not believe Canelo came up positive due to contaminated meat, which is what the Mexican boxer and his team are claiming.

The two boxers are scheduled to collide in a rematch on May 5th, from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

"I'm a clean athlete. After the first fight I knew he was not clean," Golovkin said to reporters. "Have a look at the pictures they post when he uses some pills. Let him explain what kind of pills they are."

Golovkin believes Canelo is being protected by officials in the city of Las Vegas.

The first bout, which also took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, ended in a controversial split draw.

According to Golovkin, if he would have tested positive for clenbuterol - instead of Canelo - the rematch would have likely been canceled by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

"I don't think I would have had the same amount of benefits he has had," Golovkin said. "That's why I would never use any drugs because I know there won't be any preferences to me.

"I felt like I won the fight. I thought I didn't understand something but then I reviewed the fight. These people are like terrorists. They're killing sport. It's not about me. People like that should be in prison. People being cheated like that. It's too much. This is America. This is democracy."

Golovkin is backed by his trainer, Abel Sanchez, who also believes Canelo is given special treatment in Las Vegas.

"Going to Vegas we are two points down and we are gonna need to win more convincingly or to knock him out," Sanchez said.

He was a sitting duck for GGG the entire later half of the fight the first go round. GGG couldn't come close to getting him outta there. Canelo knows he can out work him while fresh and survive when he's gassed. I think Canelo left the fight more confident and I don't expect him to dance as much early in this upcoming fight.

GGG/Abel/Loeffler either need to stfu or walk away from the fight, lol @ saying you saw injection marks on his arms like he was shooting up heroin. I can't stand both camps but now I hope Golden Boy does sue them.

:stopitslime:
This is exactly what both sides want. The fight was not and will not ever be in jeopardy. They just want fans hanging on every comment, just like the build up to if the fight will get signed contract going back and forth. At the end both fighters will win because people will pay for the fight and they will take home huge pay checks.

They wouldn't play these games if fans took a stand against defamation or steroid use. The game always has been that that shyt will sell even more. Fans are blood thirsty and we have seen tons of fighters be known to be dirty and talk reckless shyt and it only drives interest higher.
