black love, unity, and music
I'm 32.

I jam mostly Afro-Pop and Reggae, but as far as rap goes

Anything Houston (Z-ro, Slim Thug, Swish house)
Curren$y
Nipsey Hustle
Kendrick Lamar
Ab Soul
Rick Ross
School Boy Q
Big Krit
Danny Brown

And thats about it. Most of the new hip hop is trash. Sorry.

Anything from ATL or Chicago goes straight to the garbage bin at this point...:smh:

KungFu Fighting & kicks that are fast as Lightning
I don't really listen to any new rappers that released their first LPs or came on the scene after 2006

so Lupe and The Game were the last new artist I check for (and they aren't even considered new anymore)

J Cole and Your Old Droog are the only exceptions to the rule tho.

I think Kendrick is talented but I never listened to an entire LP front to back from him (just dozens of random tracks) and have no real desire to (he's talented but I grew up on Pun, G rap and Canibus, So he offers nothing new to the game from my perspective)

Samething applies to Drake (LL cool J already did what hes doing now, and did it better imo)

I mainly get my lyricism fix (that I used to go to albums/artist for) from battle rap leagues like URL/KOTD/Don't Flop etc now.

Nas and Jay Z albums are still the two major events in hiphop for me.

Whenever they drop the'yre still the most important LPs of that particular year in my eyes

When you aint tryna be cool, what are you REALLY Listening to? Old school gangsta shyt, hip hop, R&B and soul music

:flabbynsick:Why are yall nikkas listnin to these chaps? no really, whats the appeal? If it's good music to me, I'll listen to it.

:flabbynsick:Do you not remember the Golden age? You gunna tell me the standard hasn't dropped, shattered, gotten scooped up and then thrown in the trash? Yes. I agree for the most part.

:flabbynsick: Recommend some rappers on that straight gully shyt like strong arm steady and do rag dynasty in the west, Roc Marciano on the east. Jay Rock, Nipsey, Bibby, YG, a couple others that I know of.

:flabbynsick:Recommend the best of this generations biters of MADLIB and J-Dilla
:manny:
:flabbynsick:Yea, another one of these threads.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I only listen to certain 80's and 90's hip hop. It can't sound dated. I just like listening to dope music period no matter the era. I still like hunting for new classic shyt. With that being said right now I keep these artists in rotation the most

Nipsey Hussle
Fab
Elzhi
Joey Bada$$
Skyzoo
Kendrick Lamar
Slaughterhouse
Nas

I listen to a lot of r&b, reggae and alternative rock as well
