That's how our fans are. Look, the ones that really know what they're talking about are among the best in the league. But a large segment of the fans just want a name.
They were mad Riley didn't sell out everybody on the roster under 25 for Demarcus Cousins at the trade deadline. A guy who is an awful fit next to Whiteside and has never won anything.
They thought it would be a good idea to trade Dragic and Whiteside for one Damian Lillard, not understanding 1 star player means nothing without guys around them.
Hell, not mentioning any names but someone here wanted to trade Dragic and Whiteside for fukking Wilson Chandler and a pick last year.
I'm not fronting like an all-star caliber player at any position doesn't stand to make us better, but I've maintained all along if GH was to come he had to be willing to make space for Waiters and JJ to have the best Heat team possible.
Eh, if Hayward doesn't come do you think JJ and Waiters hold more leverage now? What if they expect 15 mill or so? 
If not, do y'all see any other FA y'all would want to add to the roster? I'd like us to keep Ellington if we can't grab Hayward. His 3 point shooting is great and a guy like him/McGruder could allow Winslow to run the point to take advantage of his above average playmaking skills.
I'm salivating at the defensive potential of a
TJ - Waiters - Winslow - Bam - Whiteside defensive lineup.
Or even a Winslow - Waiters - JJ - Bam - Whiteside
If Winslow can learn to efficiently run a PnR and how to use screens like Dragic

Thats just a guy talking out of his ass. Hayward would guarantee the Heat the ETC. The Heat are not a bad team. A combination of Hayward/Whiteside/Dragic with our bench can win tons of games. I would have personally preferred Danilo/Waiters/JJ. Also we got some good young players to.
when/IF Hayward falls thru, hope riley doesn't overpay JJ or Dion. the market ain't what it was last year

I think JJ was always going to be here. With LA seemingly interested in George Hill the well may have run dry for Waiters, I think he's a lock to come back and I dont know if there's a team left with the money that will give him 15 mil.
Other FA's I'd be interested in: Rudy Gay. Jeff Green (upgrade on Okaro). I've come around to the idea of Tyreke Evans coming off the bench in a point role. I wouldn't even mind a reunion with Beno Udrih just to have a true point who can run an offense and spot us some minutes.
I'd say both for me and I'll explain.
Honestly I haven't seen enough of Hayward to say I really want him long term that badly. But I trust (and hope) the organization sees something in him to be going after him this hard. So in a way I guess I want the feeling of landing the big name free agent only because that's who our front office feel is the future for the team.
Please spare me the Danilo talk. I know I tend to be skeptical of former Knicks who got a lot of hype but honestly what has he done? I don't remember him ever standing out. We have enough role players (if we get JJ back) . It's time to bring in a big gun

Hayward is actually good though. Very underrated. So I am okay with them pursuing him.

Well i am shocked dion is actually waiting on us. I honestly thought he wouldve been on the first 20m offer that was tossed his way but most of the decent teams with money already spent on their targets
