As far as the draft, I only saw Louisville play a couple times, but based off the DraftExpress video, Donovan Mitchell would be my pick. Worst case he's Tyler Johnson's replacement if we move him to get away from that contract. But he looks like he could be really good, athletic and I like his shot.

That Ford trade isn't a move I would do, but it wouldn't surprise me if Riley does that. Doing such a move would get Melo and create more space for another max salary(Hayward, Blake). We would be pretenders and have no depth, but Riley would certainly entertain moving those guys for Melo.
Nah, Melo has a trade kicker in his contract so he would be getting 30 mil this season. The outgoing salaries in that deal is only 19 mil (remember TJ is only makig 5..8 mil this year). Even with another max contract in there's no role players. If you want to see the team set back for years to come trading that combo of players and picks for Melo is certainly the way to do it
