Walking around the back streets of Bangkok solo at 4am. Looking back it was incredible stupid.

My boy saw thing chic in DR and was trying to get with her. He wasn't able to hook up that night so the next night we had this Domincan dude who was a barber take us around trying to find her. We were going to random chica's homes in the hood looking for her. We mut of hit up 5 chica's looking for her. Ended up in the hood in Puerto Plata and we finally found her. We were prime to get set up. I didn't have cash or my good phone on me so I was good. Again looking back it was incredibly dumb, but it all worked out and was an adventure.

Is Bankok dangerous? I imagine them Asian countries ain't bad because crime is more organized persay

I'd like to hit the ghetto in Japan at 4a.m. Just walk around off the henny.

In Cuba was with an ex we went to this club on a beach . It was like 2am and there were no taxis nothing. These 2 guys said they would drop us back at our hotel for 10usd.

I don't know why I said yes, whole time I thought we were gonna get killed.

In Uganda with my wife we went out and it was like 2am took a Uber back home, didn't look at dude ratings or I would have cancelled the ride he had 5 total rides. Dude starts taking this weird route not knowing that my wife is Ugandan, then suddeny a cop pulls us over. I can already tell this is some scam setup don't even think dude is a real cop. It's like 215am in the middle of nowhere.

Cop tries to talk to me and I go on how I work with the embassy and have already notified them :troll:

Thankfully a motorcycle taxi appeared we whistled him down hopped on and got the hell outta there

Few times deep in Mexico, but that's what gives you the rush. Have seen a body on the street from a shootout in Jalisco, early in the morning, with fog all over the place, it was pretty surreal. Sometimes it's just knowing how dangerous and violent the places are. That gives it an edge.

Deep in Sinaloa, a taxi driver asked me if I worked for the (US) government.

Way out there in Jalisco, wandering in a colonia, lost, I walk into this garage door style bierrria place, in someones house, and instantly see the two guys, certain style of dress, tattoos, and I had to sit right in front of them, and one turns to me and says in English, "where are you from" and it just hung in the air for a second, and I told him.

And he was like do you want me to order for you, so you get the right dishes?
I got Mexico stories for days. We used to drive to Belize through Mexico once a year. I also lived on the border for two years. I was 18 years old getting faded in Reynosa.
:russ:
Federalis always begging/extorting for money and cartels create their own checkpoints.
:picard:
Luckily, I’ve only feared for my life once. Overall Mexico is great.

Would your family still take that drive? Now, it's a lot more violent and unstable, going through some of those places. What was the route? I haven't been to Reynosa, but that area is fukking wild. The whole state, is like a level of violence and killing that would shock anybody. That's where the 72 were killed in 2010.

Yes. We were still driving during peak narco wars ‘08-13.
My scare was in ‘10. Fake check point was set up at 4 in the morning outside Coatzacoalcos. I shouldn’t have been driving but I really wanted to make the city.

We were stuck in traffic outside Veracruz for 3 hours. Didn’t move an inch because of a 18 wheeler.

I wouldn’t make the drive anymore personally. I’m a family man now.
:flabbynsick:
I lived in Brownsville from ‘10-11. Went to college there for a year. I could walk from my apartment and be buying “stuff” in Matamoros within 20 mins. Our apartment and campus wouldn’t get hit every so often by stray bullets from the cartels and police shootouts.
:heh:
We would drink on the porch and see tracers.
:pachaha:
Would only go back inside when the mini guns come out.
:picard:
As for the drive, we would clear the border around 6am and get to Tampico by 1pm. Once we clear Tampico, we feel safer driving. The state of Tamaulipas is no joke but driving during the day is straight. Mexicans love Belizeans so we get a pass most of the time.

2010 was the beginning of Zetas/CDG split. wow

Yeah, I was going to say pass Tamaulipas and then Veracruz is maybe even spookier. The witch town. The jungles. The pirhannas. The Zetas. Veracruz seems like the most eerie of all the states in Mexico. I have read a lot about it. Even I am like maybe I shouldn't go to the Devil town, where they sacrifice goats and do like a devil worship ceremony.

The highway is called The Devil's Highway. Do not enter after dark.

We always get lost around Posa rica for some reason. I’ve never partied in Veracruz. We are always on a mission to get to Belize asap. I partied in Posa Rica though. My buddy is a white Mexican from Monterrey. He was airborne in the army and has a few tats to include his neck.

They think he’s zeta so we got a grip of stares at the club we went to.

I wish I would have taken the trip one last time and partied in each major city before getting to Belize.

Monterry is fukking dope. Maybe nicer than Beverly Hills, in San Pedro Garza.

Poza Rica, Boca Del Rio....yeah lol that's the danger zone. In 2011, that's where CJNG dropped 30 or 50 bodies on the street, with Z's painted on them.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
Never been in super sketchy situations, but definitely had to be on alert.

Google maps had us trying to cross thru gorlitzer park in Berlin on a winter evening, streets deserted, except for a group of like 7+ people hanging in front of the park's entrance.

They looked like they could've been posing in a picture inside of the illmatic record sleeve.

nasIlligmatic_d.jpg

I said fukk that, and all I could hear were people asking if I'm good as I diverted my ass around that park.

Uhh coming into the train station in Verona Italy was surprisingly active. A lot of people hanging around the bus ticket vending machine, but instead of being dressed like the 90s, they looked like drill rappers and dusty West coast p's. Think like kappa sweat suits, bape camo etc. Buying my ticket, I was just trying to be mindful of pickpockets.

In Mexico, I seen an entire bus get held at gunpoint. Old school 3rd world country type shyt, bandana over the mouth, jeans and ragged faded T-shirt waving guns and threats in the air.

Somehow, my girl managed to book an Airbnb in a new Zealand uhh "hood." It was dark, but I seen like a beat up Altima with the bumper hanging off and a bando at the end of a one way all dilapidated and boarded up. I can't rmb the name of that place, but it was in Christchurch. It wasn't actually bad, quiet by USA standards, but I recognized that element. Meth has a lot of communities fukked up.

I got to Belize after driving through Mexico late. I cleared the border and wanted to chill. Checked into my hotel and ended up talking to two women at the hotel. We decided to go clubbing the next town over.

Long story short, I got pulled over and I didn’t have insurance because the companies were closed for the day.

Police kept saying I could go to jail. I didn’t mind cause I would just get out in the morning.
:pachaha:
I didn’t realize they were shaking me down. Had I known I would have threw them $20 bucks each so I could go on my way.
:mjlol:
They ended up letting me go, no bribe collected.
:lolbron:
I know they were mad.
:stopitslime:
I got insurance as soon as the building opened later that morning.
