By the time 93 dropped that new jack swing, happy party rap was gone. The sound changed, the music changed.

Hev never fell off. He just stopped doing music like that...more of a producer, Exec producer...and some acting. But dudes always respected and loved Hev music...no matter what the climate was.

For Kid N Play, they were done by House Party 2. Their music was never really a thing tho. They're damn near one-hit wonders extended by movies. But they always exuded Hip-Hop, so they're forever stamped.

I was a fan of both Kid N Play’s and Heavy D. Great acts but .. timing. People are fickle and like to ride waves . Today both acts would eat well as people are nostalgic for everything 80’s/90’s.
