Ok then, why watch the NFL when it's slow as well and more p*ssy.

You see a guy take a hit to the head and he's with a "concussion"

fukk it, why we even watching a sport that will never be as popular as hockey around the world.

Lets stick to hockey then.

No see, Hockey is just the 4th best sport here, Hockey is much better than Soccer though, it's essentially the same boring game, but with intensity, toughness and speed to make it more enjoyable.

And the thing is, where are the incidents of football fans throwing bananas on the field at black players?
football is played in america nearly exclusively at this point. no one in america dares to do that, in any sport. however, in europe, this happens in nearly every sport.

the banana incidents are because of racists in other countries, not because of the sport involved.

face facts, we have a better version of Soccer called Hockey
facts ? :why:
hows anything you said a fact ? hockey is nothing like soccer. your assessment about it being boring is subjective as well.

I think Hockey is very similar to soccer, the scoring is entirely the same. Put object into goal defended by a goalie. If there is a tie they both go to shoot outs. The similarities are all over, the scores are usually under 5 points in each.

To me it's a fact that Hockey is faster and tougher, because you can measure the speed the players move around on and the speed the puck moves compared to the ball. It's tougher because it permits much more physical contact.

I do think these things are facts, the boring part is subjective, but the other things are facts.

And the MLS had the 3rd best attendance last season among major sports in America so :manny:

And what's the TV ratings?

3rd best attendance, as in what, it seems like the only thing you guys fall back on throughout the entire thread.

Do you mean percentage wise? If so, I can see that. Having 10 less teams that every other major sport helps those averages.

Add to the fact it is probably the most affordable pro sports ticket on the market plus the fact there is only 17 home games per team, that stat makes sense to me.

Just to make things clear, you do know that a hockey ice thing (w/e it's called not a hockey fan) is smaller than a football pitch?

You expect soccer players to run up and down all day for 45 minutes straights and then another 45? :mjpls:

That's the problem with soccer, it's played on such an expansive field that the action is like watching paint dry.

Like I said, Hockey is a much more intense version of soccer. It is the same game when you get down to the foundation of it, it is just evolved with speed, intensity and toughness .

I admire the physical conditioning of soccer players though, I think they're in the best shape of almost any athlete.

Ok, I get it you dislike football.

It seems that you think I'm trying to force the sport as the most popular in this country. It's not but it's getting popular.

ESPN/ESPN2 finished the season with an average of 311,000 viewers for its games, up 6.5 percent from 292,000 last year. The gains reflect a large number of games moving to ESPN this season.

Take it for what it is. The MLS is a young league.

ur problem shouldnt be with me
ur problem should be with the article or that neislon meter
thats because your dumbass only read the title. Top 5 stupidest poster on here. :heh:

And the thing is, where are the incidents of football fans throwing bananas on the field at black players?

But take all that shyt away and face facts, we have a better version of Soccer called Hockey, and it's still the 5th biggest sport in America.

Hockey is a faster, tougher more entertaining Soccer. Why watch the shytty version played on 5 acres of land that is slow, weak as fukk and boring. We watch the NBA id we want to see divas flop

this is the stupidest post of this thread. Congrats.

putting an object into goal defended by a goalie is the basis of dozens of different sports that just arent very popular in america.

like, water polo or handball.

shyt, yout put an object through a goal in bball too...just no goalie.
in football you also can put an object through the goal...its just a secondary objective

as far as points go, points are arbitrary in many sports anyway. if football gave 1 point for a TD and .4 points for a field goal, what would most football scores be ? :heh:

I dont see many similarities between hockey and soccer. the only thing that they have in common is goal and getting an object through it. thats literally it, and like Ive said, its a common theme for non-american generated sports.

So you want 22 guys to play on a small field?

You want FIFA to change the way this sports has been played for nearly 150+ years just to change the mind of some American? :laff:

fukk it, let's do it then. Lets have 22 guys play in a small pitch. Lets let them fight it out after a foul. I'm all for it. At the same time maybe the could tweet live :wrist:

I think the expansive field has nothing to do with you finding it boring.

I dont think youd like futsal either

the accent in soccer isnt on scoring per se, so if not scoring=boring, then it will always be boring.

same people who complain about a low-scoring game in football=people who hate soccer. its usually people who want to see scoring and be entertained rather than watching the game itself :manny:

it every touchdown were a point it'd end like 3-2 regularly
exactly...the only reason a TD is worth 7 (with chip shot xp) is to make it worth more than a FG

football scores usual u/o is around 46 points even in todays age of offense.
so thats what, 46/7~less than 7 combined points ?

thats like a 4-3 score on average
