Rugby got next :troll:

But seriously, I played football for 22 years... .was bred to play that shyt. But I don't think I'll let my sons play it; if fukks nikkas up something serious. I know cats in their late 20s early 30s already having trouble getting out of bed, and limping around. There's a misconception that the NFL solely fukks people up. But really it's a cumulative affect from high school and up (especially the slave mentality in college football). Hell, I'll say that after training camp, college football is much harder on the body because the coaches have a wider pool of players to choose from, and they don't care about going full pads and beating the players down during practice. At least in the League, you're mostly in helmets and shorts during practice most of the season.

Football will always be king in this country, but I do think it's reached its peak. And you never know.... this soft-ass generation coming up may turn table tennis or some shyt into the goat sport :aicmon:

Football as we have known it is dead. However the league will continue to thrive as long as there is gambling, fantasy football, and the games are played once a week. I'm sure old heads thought the sky was falling each time new rules changes went into place over the years. But the league and the game actually grew. I don't think it will grow now because honestly I don't see how it can grow anymore. However I don't see the doom and gloom that some are forecasting because all the changes that are happening are beneficial to offense. It's gonna be 7 on 7 at some point and people will still gladly watch 91-84 games while betting and hoping their fantasy QB can surpass 1000 yds in one game. Sure the hardcore fans will be pissed but the reality of the situation is that casual fans are what have put the sport where it is now and they giveth no fukks about the game itself or player safety.

:rudy: of course this is all about soccer

ur avi said the whole story as soon as i open this thread -u now changed it hmmmmmmmmm -i wonder why

as far as soccer racist chants ur in denial like the rest of yall stans -they dont chant that in america cause it wouldnt be tolerated YET overseas soccer leagues let it side cause they are either cowards or racist themsevles

wasnt there a thread the other week with some black soccer players from italy called a ****** from 1 of the owners of that team

do u think that could happen in america in this day
1 of the reason im not a MLB fan was when it was done a couple of deacades ago with an old cac women named marge schott -who said my money making ******s ((all baseball basically did nothing -cause *kanye voice* baseball hates black people))

but real talk... its NO question soccer has an issues with race

finally ... if u want to stick to the title of this thread
u need to provide a legit infomation why its dying -instead of posting a vague meaningless opinion

which makes u a :troll: -my friend

Nah you just dumb. It is possible to like multiple sports for many normal people. LOL @ not like baseball just because of Marge Schott, like Marge Schott actually affected the actual game. :heh: Thanks for letting me know.

But since you got a problem with my avi, I guess I'll change it again, honoring my favorite players my youth.

I actually like soccer...but MLS is below even Hockey when it comes to popularity in the US.

I do think that as demographics change, and more and more Hispanics enter the country, that the sport will become quite large. But right now, nobody gives two shyts about it.

Average MLS player makes like 100 grand a year : PlayersUnion

It's just not relevant right now.

One thing that people forget is that the NFL is PERFECT for Americas ultra-business orientated society. Tons of time outs and stops during the game. Plenty of room for advertisement and promos. It's fukking perfect in regards to that.

Soccer isn't going to grow as big in the states until it can prove to be as financially viable. Them ads on kits isn't going to cut it.

They will probably have to air matches with some sort of "tv-in-tv" commercial in them. No way are tv companies trying to go 45 minutes without a commercial break....:manny:

best post ^

the wild card is the growing hispanic population trend but other than that its just not feasible. same problem which got boxing black balled from mainstream tv/media you cant show commercials in 1 minute rounds breaks or a fight that ends by ko in the 2nd round

if espn who basically controls the popularity of sports really wanted to they could have boxing or soccer as two main sports in america probably within a couple years. but they would rather put focus into a product like the wnba before they do that

i wasnt wrong
the article was it -broke the history of neislon ((meter))
How can it break the Nielsen meter when it had lower ratings than the last two Super Bowls? :heh:

Goodell doesn't even pay you. :heh:

And this thread has nothing to do with soccer. I have no idea why it keeps being mentioned.
