NHL owner saves the AAF

:dwillhuh:Charlie Ebersol was on his Vince McMahon Wrestlemania 1 shyt going all in financially. He's lucky opening week went so well and someone wanted to come in and invest like that. And this likely means the next team will be in Raleigh since the Hurricanes Owner is gonna be the AAF league chairman

:ohhh::wow:

If Kap actually asked for 20 Milly the league was probably like :usure:

Yea looks like they are really going to need the NFL's help if the league is going to thrive. AAF is already trying to establish NFL affiliates for each team. And it could help the NFL a lot too for teams to be able to send guys down to play and get better instead of ride the bench and to development youth instead of having to cut so many guys each year just send them down to your AAF affiliate.

The heights
So cbs/turner sports and the AAF only have a one year deal y’all think fox or espn/abc offer them a deal :patrice:
And this is why I posted this the other day I was reading cbs/turner wasn’t paying anything to boardcast the games which is understandable since it’s a new league if they want to stay around they need someone who want to broadcast the league on network Television at least one on Sunday and one on Saturday imo :manny: plus if you go on AAF Facebook or Instagram Complaining that they don’t have cbs sports network most people don’t know how to stream so they are like fukk it I guess no AAF for me they need to find a channel that will broadcast the games The interest is there People want to watch the games

That'll never happen. Football is too physical of a sport. They can't operate on the same rules of basketball and baseball. There's only 16 games in a season for a reason and players already want less preseason games too

Uh yea that’s why I said the AAF would be for players that would normally get cut or never see the field. I’m not saying teams should send down anyone they plan on playing that season obviously. It could definitely work and they are already trying to establish affiliates for each team with how they allocated the players

That’s all well and good but doesn’t help viewership. This would a secondary benefit but it’s not going to keep League doors open.......

Yes it would. All of the fans from NFL teams would be watching the AAF to check on their young players and see who they could be using on their NFL team. And just in general getting a partnership like that with the NFL would bring in more views from casual fans.

And viewership has been good anyway they already have a lot of ppl watching and the league just started. Partnering with the NFL would just be to secure their future financially

There's no meaningful football games being played during the AAF season. If your a football fan that doesnt care for the NBA and theres plenty of them out there, youll find yourself watching the AAF eventually.
