Same here. Brazil always play good the year before a WC and then flop the following summer. So I have pretty low expectations with the team. Tite has really changed the way they play. For the first time in a long time Brazil has a solid defense and midfield. Under Dunga,Scolari,Mano Menezes and Dunga again Brazil played with two defensive midfielders with an attacking midfield trying to pass to the strikers in the front. However that way is risky because you are defensively weak. France,Spain and Germany showed that playing with 3 CMs is better. You control possession and close down passing lanes.
David Luis will probably be on the bench. Brasil is deep in center backs. Miranda,Marquinhos,Thiago Silva etc. What Brazil needs is a consistent striker. De Jesus is very young so they cant pin their hopes too much in him. Firminho at best is a supersub.
I have been looking at recent tournaments, yea they always qualify for the World Cup but they were no where to be found in the last 2 copa americas and got washed by Germany 7 1 in the last World Cup.Why not? Have you seen them play in qualifications? Because I have. The new coach Tite changed the whole tactic of the team. He has selected players based on their strengths and put them in the best position to do well example Paulinho. Since Tite took over Brazil went from being in 6th place looking like they won't qualify to first place and qualified for the world cup. They have beaten Colombia,Ecuador,Venezuela away with no Neymar, and Argentina 3-0. They got the talent and depth to make a run. Tite changed the midfield. Instead of an attacking midfield he has stacked 3 Central midfielder with Casemiro playing the same role he plays in Real Madrid under Zidane. Unlike what it was in 2014 and under Dunga the team is finally playing modern possesion/counterattack football. Will they win it? Maybe not.
But they could be a dark horse making a deep run. I have watched them when Dunga coached and now when Tite took over. It's is a major big difference. The days of Neymar dependencia from 2011-2015 are over.

Again the last two Copa America's Dunga was coach and in 2014 the coach was Scolari. All I'm saying the team has improved a bit. But I don't blame you Brazil always qualify. We have to see whether this Tite led team can prove themselves in the big matches.
