You know, the more I think about this fight the more I give Khan a chance to pull this out. He will have to utilize his speed at all times though as slugging it out might mean Canelo sending Khan 6 feet under.

This was a long time ago, but I was watching the replay of Khan vs Maidana. Khan destroyed this dude and this is when Maidana was 29-1 entering the fight. Remember, Maidana fought Floyd pretty well...even better than Canelo fought Floyd IMO.

Still going with Canelo in this fight. Probably by a K.O. since odds are that he will just need to land one clean shot to break Khan's chin off his face.

if khan can get this fight beyond the 6th round he has a 50/50 chance

We jus ignoring how Chris Algieri was bullying Khan?? had Khan shook??

:dead:

Algieri is a tall fighter with a long reach that moves around the ring well and pot shots you to no end. Canelo will use that game plan. Canelo gonna go for the body early.

@krackdagawd @mr.smokeweed @patscorpio

Tell us the keys to win for both fighters going into that fight. Would be cool to see what we can come up with.

That's what I am thinking. Canelo is going to tire out chasing Khan around if it goes to the later rounds.

I see no way of Khan winning this breh. I do think he will last longer with Virgil than he would have with Roach since he will use his legs more and hold but he still the same ol Khan who has no type of defense for a left hook and he is in there with one of the best left hookers in the game. :dame:

He does has quicker feet and maybe hands but the hands will be neutralized by Canelo timing.

I'm just ordering this for the highlight reel bushes action Khan about to get.

And supporting Tapia he opened up a gym for the kids here in Jersey.

For Khan to win he's going to have to use a steady jab and his legs alot...not like Lara which would be some bullshyt..but enough to frustrate Canelo as he has issues cutting off the ring. The more Canelo moves, the more he has to reset, the less chances he has of throwing them crazy ass combinations. Canelo gets a little sloppy at that point and will start winging, which in turn would start to empty that struggle tank of his. Above all he has to stay away from the inside and not get the urge to dummy fight and trade..that will get him sent to bushes ASAP. Khan fighting that disciplined though, remains to be seen

For Canelo to win, he has to anticipate that Khan will be getting his Usain bolt on. Let's hope he actually learned to cut off the ring. Khan's soft belly is ripe for a body attack. He will need it to negate Khan's handspeed and slow him down. Canelo can't also afford to take off rounds off in this, due to stamina or whatever. A Khan with busy hands is a dangerous Khan and will take advantage of that. A slowed down Khan will make it easier for Canelo to try to lead in with that left hook of his. If he gets inside ,Khan will be done in by Canelo's fast combinations, think lopez style beatdown right here

Just finished re-watching this fight. Gotta give Khan credit for his heart, he was hurt badly at the end and kept fighting back. I was sitting there wondering why the fukk he wasn't clinching. But no, Khan didn't destroy him. He survived. I had him winning 114-112.

The only fighter that truly destroyed Maidana was Devon Alexander. Devon dominated Chino, better than both Khan and Floyd. Even though he lost to Khan and would lose to Floyd as well. Just another example of how triangle theories don't work in boxing.

Devon did not destroy Maidana, fight was a snooze fest, Maidana cut Devon with a punch too, he won easily on the score cards, but Maidana had stamina issues back then.

and once again we are talking about the 140 weight class, that maidana would've been KO'd by Adrien Broner

he was much improved by then as well as the added weight helped him absorb punishment better.

Exactly the way I see this. Khan under Virgil is better boxing IQ wise but not substantially. His body looks marshmallowish. He's gonna get hurt with a punch and he's gonna be shook to engage and thats all to it
