He could go for the knockout, but how fans laughed at him when he broke down crying after baldomir(after trying to take his head off with power punch after power punch) saying he was retiring cause of his hand issues, people called him all type of punk, bytches and such he just stop giving a damn
Definitely that, he doesn't talk about it nearly as much anymore...since it is not like he is the only fighter with fukked up hands.
And I think he changed his style. You usually don't seem him looking for a KO, if his hands feel okay, until the end of a fight...he had too many where he fukked them up early and had still try to win on points.

Thats part of the reason but a lot have floyd's recent opponents never been stopped or barely ever get stopped
I mean he came close to knocking out Cotto was been stopped twice
and he knocked out Ortiz, besdies them to none of the guys he fought ever been KO'd
Jaun, Shane, the ghost, and Canelo never been stopped at all
Yeah I feel that and that's a good point but I also feel that even without the bad hands Floyd would have still developed into the safety first fighter that he is.

Floyd is a brawler by nature, always was always will be, even vs the big Canelo he stood in the pocket and came forward, he answered any shot Canelo landed immediately, he just has GOAT defense to boot and knows how to mix it up, some may say he was defensive saturday but he threw over 500 punches, even watching him can be a illusion, imagine what his opponents see in the ring

I wouldn't call him a brawler. I'd save that for the likes of Corrales and Gatti. But unlike what some say he's never been afraid to engage. He's just smart enough to know when to do it and also how to engage without taking punishment.

Just cause he could box and is not throwing wild shyt doesn't mean he's a brawler by nature, just look at his early fights and see, he just adjusted from a boxer puncher, to a counterpunching latter in his career. If Floyd was gonna lose it would of happened when he was younger and wilder, he 10xx the defensive fighter these days......

I said he wasn't a brawler u said he wasn't a brawler so it seems like you are agreeing with me. And who said anything about him losing?

He protect his hands throwing softball vs those fighters, even backing off when his opponent are ready for their death blow like Cotto and Canelo in round 7, but piss floyd off the wrong way, and the puppetter show ends

You dont see Floyd leaving his feet lunging and throwing with conviction post retirement like he did there, Ortiz brought that dog out in Mayweather and Floyds facial expression showed that. Every single fight post retirement I has been a glorified sparring session to Floyd I have no doubt in my mind about that, I want to see someone bring out that beast mode:demonic:

Basically this. Floyd takes a lot off his punches to preserve his hands...you could see it clearly vs Canelo...to make sure he doesn't have more situations like Baldomir where he has a badly fractured hand for half a fight. Too many confuse this with Floyd not being a hard puncher. He has shown time and time again that if he actually chooses to punch you he has solid power. If you have hand problems and you know you'll fukk em up, it's smart to protect yourself. Even with that weakness, no one has exploited it yet.
