Let the Canelo hype monster begin. This fight is already huge, but the hype machine will push this thing to be Floyd's 2nd highest PPV behind De La Hoya easily. Should be 2MM PPV buys.

Showtime better take their learning a from promoting Floyd's first fight & make those changes, man. The fight will likely sell itself, but do it right!

152 lbs. huh? I wonder if Floyd's camp asked for a lower weight to start.

When Floyd makes this kid tire out & look amateurish the excuse will be that Floyd should've waited a couple years for Canelo to hit his prime.

No way this fight does 2MM....Canelo can't even say the buzz words "Showtime", "September 14th" or "Floyd Mayweather" in English. Floyd will have to carry the promotion and if its anything like the reserved Floyd we got with Ghost, it definitely won't hit 2MM.

Canelo did 40K in attendance by himself his last fight. Id bet this does 2 million easy. College football will be in season so the cross promotion they will have with CBS will push it to record numbers.

This fight will do big numbers, I've already had a bunch of people text me and post about it on Facebook that are the most casual of combat sports fans.

Good point on the cross promo via CBS. NFL will be in season too on CBS. :ohlawd:

And this is Mexican Independence Day...the real important day for Mexicans. This dude is the biggest Mexican boxing star in a while, and his inability to speak English doesn't mean what some may think in today's USA, where the Latino community is leading in population.

This fight will be huge in the US and Latin America alone.

LOL. He's still more Mexican than De La Hoya, Ortiz, & Guerrero.

They love this dude. If he pulls this off, they gonna be partying way harder than they did when Marquez knocked out Pac.

:smh:

Brolic... Alcoholics
And everyone says he ducks fighters.

Ha.

I don't think he had much of a choice. His debut ppv with showtime didn't do the numbers they wanted but it still cracked a mil. This has less to do with him ducking or not ducking and more to do with Showtime makin that money up.

Floyd saw the Trout fight and saw all the weaknesses

Biggest one being Canelo doesn't push the tempo and push the issue. He's sort of passive. Floyd will wash this Irish fake messican

Doesn't make a difference, Canelo is still going to come in at 170 during fight time.
I know that my dude...hence why I'm questioning what's the point?

All this catchweight serves is as an excuse for the haters...It does nothing for Floyd inside the ring or outside of it so why not just fight the dude at 154?

You already have morons calling it weight draining trying to discredit the fight...:snoop:

Catchweights are nothing new. I can't guess his reasoning nor do I care, but I know Floyd doesn't care what posters on The Coli have to say, no matter what he does people will discredit him. He would've beaten Canelo at 154..."oh Canelo is young, Floyd was SUPPOSED TO DO THAT" or "Why is Floyd ducking Martinez at 160? I mean why can he move up to 160 since he just won at 154?". The BS will be there NO MATTER WHAT. I'm just glad the fight is made.

Floyd is like Kobe and Lebron, no matter what they do, people will discredit them just because.
