Do so and get on with it, I give you that wrong link wrong fighter, Im distracted also these bytches got me training on a friday:damn:

But lets not slight Hernandez pre Floyd, very much a HOF caliber fighter in the shytty lower divisions.....

how are you going to tell me about carlos hernandez, his career, and his supposed HOF status when you thought he was deceased and was getting inducted into a state's hall of fame? not even the IBHOF or WBHOF...you dont even watch the lighter weight divisions since you so eloquently stated grown men dont stay a fight under 135 lbs forever :patrice:

And I actually had more links I thought I erased all but being distracted, you caught me...:manny:

Hernandez was great pre Floyd, he gave Floyd one of his roughest matches aside form Augustus. Defintely a HOF caliber fighter in the lower weights, I mean Arturo Gatti is a HOF. Making history by becoming the first Salvador champ earns him his spot.....

Link it then if I stated this.....................

I simply stated it's hard for grown men to weigh in at lower than 135, which is why it's usually one or 2 great fighters every 10-20 years, and why the lower class gets ignored. I was weighing that in 6 grade.....

Beside Rigo these days is there a fighter you can say below 135 that is a lock HOF based on skillset, and dont mention bum ass Donaire

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
:camby: With this bullshyt.:rudy:

Every Floyd fan OR Stan do not shyt on other fighter's legacies to big up Floyd. Stop lumping dudes together because of the few people y'all dealt with, debated with or disagreed with. All fans don't have the same opinions on their fav fighters. But given that you niqqas probably only discuss boxing on the Coli and not actual people who have unbiased opinions and actually KNOW boxing, I can see why you have this way of thinking.

I don't agree with everything @Skip b says, but he does make points that can be argued.

I never said ALL Floydie stans

I said the only ones ive ever seen knock other great fighters careers to try and defend their fighters career happen to always be Floydie's stans...

The Sweet Science
Well, I'm not gonna let the Ali bashing continue:ufdup:

@Skip b.....you keep talking about Ali's comp. Let's get just a little more indepth then:birdman:

Ali fought 61 fights.

Out of 61 fights, he fought HoFer's Archie Moore, Sonny Liston (2x), Floyd Patterson (2x), Joe Frazier (3x), Bob Foster, Ken Norton (3x), George Foreman, and Larry Holmes.

That's 14 fights against HoFers. 23% of his fights.

Take a minute and THINK about that.......almost every 4th fight, Ali was taking on a HOF fighter in their prime:wow:

For comparision's sake, how many current/future HOFers have Floyd fought? Mosley, JMM, DLH, and Gatti (possibly Cotto) in 45 fights.

That's only (at best) 5 fights against prime HoFer's. 9% of his fights. Almost every 10 fights, Floyd is fighting a HOF caliber opponent. How does that compare? It doesnt.

How can you even try and downplay Ali's opponents when they all fought in the greatest era of Heavyweight Boxing and against each other? Ali also fought Earnie Shavers, Ernie Terrell, Jimmy Young, Cleveland Williams, Jimmy Ellis, and even Ron Lyle was a good fighter as well:mindblown:

I understand a casual fan of boxing saying these things, but you should be ashamed of yourself:snoop:

Sorry breh but no way were Moore, Liston, or Patterson in the second fight in there prime and Patterson, Moore and Foster werent even above the heavyweight limit when they fought Ali

Archie Moore was 45 years old and only 191 lbs when he fought Ali

Liston was damn near 40 if not older when they fought both times

The first Floyd fight Patterson wasnt even above the heavweight limit (196) , the second Patterson fight was even worse he was not even 190lbs and Floyd was 37-38 years old

Bob Foster only weighed 180 lbs when he fought Ali

Thats 6 outta the 14 fights gone right there of the 8 (against prime HOF) fights remaining he lost 2x's to Norton ,1 to Frazier , lost to Holmes (though in fairness Ali should have ever fought him) meaning he lost half the fights he fought against prime HOF's. That also mean he had 13% of his fights against HOFers

You say Floyd only fought 5 HOFers (including Cotto) but Im sure if Gatti is in the HOF then I have to believe at some point and time Hatton and/or Corrales at the very least will get in. If thats the case the your looking at
Floyd fighting 13-15% of his fights against HOFers which is exactly where Ali is.

Zab is defintely a HOF if Gatti is one....

He is one of the sports last Undisputed champs..............................

I dont make the HOF, criticize boxing
I do criticize the IBHOF for their questionable decision. Gatti doesn't deserve to be anyway near the HOF. He got in mainly because of his fights with Ward and his death. Floyd said it best when he said Gatti was a club fighter beating up on C+ guys. Zab is a good fighter, but an underacheiver. Dude is basically the Vince Carter of boxing. He probably will get in the HOF, but he shouldn't.

C'mon Skip, let's cut the bullshyt out. Keep it a hunnid. Do you really believe those 10 guys are HOF-Caliber boxers? I don't think you really believe that

Wonders if history will look at a Ortiz or a Hatton as a HOF 40-50 years from now...............:smugfavre:

Why not their are fighters with like 60 L's and shyt there:manny:

People conveniently leave shyt when they throw that HOF mess out there moving the goalpost, and is that truly a fair argument here, a lot of fighters that are teetering on the edge are still fighting, we cant analyze Floyds resume 40-50 years in the future like we could a Ali...

That's not why he's criticized at all.. He said he's the greatest ever but he has to try and slight Ali's career to make a case.. If he truly was the greatest ever he wouldn't have to do that.. It would be undisputed

If Ali got his ass whipped and took many gifts, it is what it is..............

He has to slight his shortcomings because Floyd is the only being judged with that microscope when he hasn't lost, and haven't as much been knocked down, but when so called experts talk about therotical matches with a Floyd SRL they say foolishness like Floyd would get ko'ed in 4, when SRL was the one with the crackable chin. shyt like that is why Floyd has to have that anger......................
