That's the ARGUMENT Oscar is presenting to court stating that Schaeffer is still signed to Golden Boy till 2018

But it's not gonna be cut and dry cause of these factors:

1# Schaeffer is also not just a shareholder but a CEO of GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS who help found the company with De La Hoya and made an offer to buy out De LA Hoyas intrest in the company ..when de la hoya went to rehab..therefore rendering the contract null and void

2. Oscar has to prove negligence on Shaeffers part for working with Al Haymon..which will be difficult considering Haymon and Mayweather Promotions have always worked jointly with Golden Boy Promotions for virtually every mayweather fight since Floyd's last HBO bout with Ortiz back in the day...

3. Al Haymon consults virtually every fighter on Golden Boy with the exception of Canelo Alvarez and a few less than notable boxers....
And keep in mind all this was done with Oscar's consent

And with the power Haymon wields especially with the Golden Boy camp and the Nevada Boxing Commission it's not gonna be an easy "victory" for OSCAR

Word came last week that Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be making significant changes to his team. The pound-for-pound king told Ben Thompson of FightHype.com that he and his longtime assistant and CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe, were outgrowing each other.

Among the issues Mayweather told Thompson about: the fact that Mayweather’s four titles in two divisions were on the line in the rematch with Marcos Maidana; his daughter not being seated with the girl’s mother at the fight; and Floyd Mayweather Sr. not having a credential to work another boxer’s corner earlier on the card.

“If Floyd feels that he needs to make a change, he’s got reasons. He’s probably been needing a change. But at the same time, it’s just that he decided to make a decision,” said Jeff Mayweather, one of Floyd Jr.’s uncles, speaking with BoxingScene.com on Sept. 20. “He’s the boss. They had a system that they was using in which everything had to go through him. Once things stop going through you and you’re the boss and got to make the final say, probably is time for some heads to roll.

“Leonard was more like a, he was a CEO, but that was just a title. Realistically, Richard Schaefer [now-former CEO of Golden Boy Promotions] was doing all the work. Richard Schaefer always had a promoter’s license. It’s unfortunate for Leonard, but it’s also unfortunate for The Money Team. I mean, if you’re going to have someone that’s going to be the CEO, they should be able to — even if he would’ve just took time to learn from Richard Schaefer — that’s a powerful position to be in and not really know what to do.

“I have no idea what was going on. I’m not part of The Money Team. That’s no secret that TMT didn’t have no promoter’s license for years, and that’s why Floyd wasn’t fighting nobody but Golden Boy fighters. That right there speaks for itself. I don’t have to be the one to say it. Everybody knows.”
