This doesn't even make sense because it has nothing to do with what you quoted?? "How was Pac coming from 135 to face Oscar at 147 a bad matchup"The same reason Pac asking Cotto for a catchweight was ridiculous. He had been coming in the ring at 147, since his days at 135.
Remind you, Floyd came in at 149 on fight night against DLH at 154. So whats that? 2 pounds between them on fight night even though they were fighting 3 divisions apart?
For comparison
Floyd was 138 fighting at 135, which means had him and Pac met at 135, Pac would have been the bigger man by 9 pounds Which is why its laughable to make it seem like Pac is so small, when in reality he was a WW fighting at 135.
Pacs night of the fight weight compared to his weigh in 135 with Oscar has nothing to do with anything you quoted.. has nothing to do with fighting Cotto at a catchweight either.. Matter of fact, why are you even bringing up night of the fight weights anyway. . You up in here sounding like that clown @Master Teacher you do not wanna sound like that nikka. Ignore night of the fight unofficial weigh ins breh
...Because Floyd fought him when no one else wanted to. When Roach was saying Mosley was "too good" and if they did fight it would have to be at 142 http://articles.latimes.com/2010/feb/02/sports/la-sp-dwyre-pacquiao2-2010feb02
Oscar was washed up when both Pac and Floyd fought him.. Everyone should agree on that, but the fact that Pac is coming from 135 kinda cancels that shyt out...
Also Oscar didn't properly rehydrate after the weigh in so he was definitely drained..
Pac was was 138 in his next fight against Hatton..
Which means Pac has yet to fight a legit WW yet, so why would he be fighting(at the time) the #1 ranked WW in the world Shane Mosley as his first real test?... Especially before Floyd fought him.. Instead of fighting Shane they opt to fight a smaller ww, Miguel Cotto at 145 where he was only weighing in at 146 in his last match and it was in house TR, which means more money.. He fought Shane a year later after he was more comfortable at that weight fighting against guys much bigger than him..
Why are you saying it was a bad match up?? He fought Shane a year later at 147 not 142.. Youre arguing a point that has nothing to do with the question
Shane wasn't coming off anything when he fought Floyd.. He hadn't stepped in a ring in a year and 5months.. He was definitely cold, but im not gonna sit here and discredit Floyds win or say that was a horrible match up because of thatNeither were prime, but both were coming off solid wins. Add to the fact that Shane was coming off from all but decapitating Margarito.
how is that Pacquiao's fault though? That Oscar didn't properly rehydrate like an idiot?? That match up wasn't supposed to be that much in Pac's favor.. But still you cant take the win away from him because of poor conditioning on Oscar's part.. He fukked upOscar also said he wasn't expecting Pacquiao to be so big or fast And said he was drinking throughout the camp for the Pac fight, which is probably why he looked like this.
He thought he was going in against a smaller man, but was actually the smaller man on fight night
Now if you wanna say Pac was naturally more of a JWW then cool, but you're saying Pac was a WW before he was WW.. thats like you saying Canelo is a Super Middleweight... Now you're talking that dumb @Master Teacher bullshyt again.. Dont be that nikka ... Pac has only made 147 in a weigh in twice his ENTIRE careerPac was never a true 135, so when he came to WW, he was already a WW and all he did was cut less. There was no "moving up in weight" he was already coming in at 147, and DLH was stupid.
Because Hatton himself said he wasnt the same
Pac took out Cotto/Marg/Mosley.. If you dont wanna give him credit fine, but dont talk as if they're bad matchups acting as if there was someone better Pac could've fought outside of Floyd at the time...Cotto was just off the bricks with Concreto. Algieri SQUEAKED out a win vs Provo. Which I scored for him, but it wasn't impressive. Clottey
Bradley was at his peak though
Algieri beat Prov.. A win is a win.. Doesn't matter how close it was.. nikkas was clamoring for a Pac/Prov match before he lost to Algieri..
Clottey just came off a robbery lost to Cotto, so how was that a bad match up for Pac at 147?
