The same reason Pac asking Cotto for a catchweight was ridiculous. He had been coming in the ring at 147, since his days at 135.
Remind you, Floyd came in at 149 on fight night against DLH at 154. So whats that? 2 pounds between them on fight night even though they were fighting 3 divisions apart?
For comparison
Floyd was 138 fighting at 135, which means had him and Pac met at 135, Pac would have been the bigger man by 9 pounds
Which is why its laughable to make it seem like Pac is so small, when in reality he was a WW fighting at 135.
Because Floyd fought him when no one else wanted to. When Roach was saying Mosley was "too good" and if they did fight it would have to be at 142

Neither were prime, but both were coming off solid wins. Add to the fact that Shane was coming off from all but decapitating Margarito.
Oscar also said he wasn't expecting Pacquiao to be so big or fast
And said he was drinking throughout the camp for the Pac fight, which is probably why he looked like this.
He thought he was going in against a smaller man, but was actually the smaller man on fight night
Pac was never a true 135, so when he came to WW, he was already a WW and all he did was cut less. There was no "moving up in weight" he was already coming in at 147, and DLH was stupid.
Because Hatton himself said he wasnt the same
Cotto was just off the bricks with Concreto. Algieri SQUEAKED out a win vs Provo. Which I scored for him, but it wasn't impressive. Clottey
Bradley was at his peak though
