Really? I don't have allegiances to either fighter. I love watching both of them fight. Both great fighters. Both are my top 2 at 147. I have Floyd number 1 PFP and Manny number 3. Those are my cards. I don't have an incentive for the fight to be made or not made, I don't Stan or hate either fighter.

All I am saying is that no one can duplicate the numbers Mayweather-Pacquiao will do. Each guy can go off and find opponents to cash their regular paydays and regular PPV numbers. But no one brings the $$$ that this match will. And it isn't because Mayweather or Pacquiao is categorically more popular than the other. The reason is because people want to see the two of them fight each other.

Mayweather stans hate Pacquiao's side because they thought they deserved A side billing when this fight was originally discussed. Pacquiao stans hate Floyd because they think he lowballs Manny on the negotiations. End of the day, we still don't have a fight.

If Floyd tries to wield his power and get Manny to take less than 50%, more power to him. It would be a great negotiation by him. It doesn't hurt my feelings what % either guy gets. All I am saying is if Manny walked away because he was offered less than 50% I wouldn't blame him. At the end of the day I hope both guys don't get caught up in the pettiness of %. Even if the fight is made 50/50, both guys will get more than they can get anywhere else. And again, for Floyd stans, if Floyd can negotiate more than 50% great for him...but don't be surprised and blaming Manny if he wants more.

Then you sir, are part of the problem. You should have an issue with Manny pricing himself outta the biggest money fight in history. Again, when in history does the B side get to drag his nuts in negotiation and not get called out on it?

I agree with some things in @GREENandYELLOW post, but this is an EXCELLENT point right here:obama:

That is definitely the problem at this point of time.

Be 3-2 in your last 5 fights, including getting KO'd, and then demand 50% or nothing with the undisputed #1 draw on the planet who's never lost a fight and just set a record 3 fights ago for most revenue generated for 1 single boxing match brehs:wow:

And I disagreed with him which is why I posted what I did and tagged him.

If you were able to keep along, instead of having @Newzz on the brain, you'd have known that. Instead, you're too busy basically begging me to give you attention that you're not reading posts in full. So.........

With the amount of money involved I would have to believe that eventually it would get worked out. It would be a horrible time to draw a hard line and risk more than double what either guy can get elsewhere.
I don't want my POV to get overblown. If Floyd/Manny negotiated and Floyd had the higher %, fine. I just don't think it is ridiculous if Manny wanted 50%. This fight and money doesn't happen without him...and lets not act like although he lost he still isn't Mayweathers direct challenger for boxing popularity supremacy, he still is the 2nd biggest PPV attraction in boxing.

:ahh: still running.. i understand...no need to explain yourself

Well @GREENandYELLOW was right about one thing.. Neither fighter can get what they would make from a 50/50 with each other, fighting ANY other fighter..

Floyd got his highest paycheck ever against Canelo Alvarez....should he have split the PPVs 50/50 with him as well:stopitslime:

How about we all agree to stop beating this dead horse until something concrete and confirmed happens that is not just the posturing both sides do to either sell their upcoming fights against other opponents or use as a weapon to shift blame for the fight not happening.
Because honestly none of you have said jack shyt original in this thread. Post after post of nothing but deja vu in about 5 separate threads concurrently. shyt is ponderous as fukk.

I suggest you look at the top 10 grossing fights in history and tell me how many were a 50/50 split. Each one of those fighters at the time they were setting records couldn't "get what they would make without fighting each other". Stop using this fallacy that just because they can break the bank that it's justifiable for the fight to be 50/50.
