Perception is reality breh.... Floyd is a bytch and he will be perceived as one in the media and by the public.. Not Pacquiao who has continuously called him out while Floyd stays quiet as a mouse STILL denying negotions ever took place :mjlol:. Or Floyd can man up, give us what we want.. make career high earnings, break the record again along side Pacquiao, 40% is all we're asking. Honestly I just think Floyd is scared he'll lose :mjpls:
So even if manny and them are hoes for not taking money they'd never make anywhere else (and dont deserve),it's cool long as floyd gets the blame? They only deserve 33%,this aint charity.

What if Mayweather takes Cotto for May? What will Canelo do then? What will Pac do? Floyd has better options than Pac, so he has a lot of leverage. And why wouldn't Cotto fight Floyd again? He could still fight Canelo later.

Honestly, if Pac fights Canelo in May, it could outdraw Mayweather v Cotto 2. Canelo would be the A side and it would be a fresh matchup, and Cinco de Mayo. I honestly would prefer to watch Pac/Canelo over the May/Cotto 2.

They just have to get this fight done :snoop:

What offer is Floydie prepared to make that will trump what both Arum and Oscar De La Hoya can offer Cotto??... Lets use our brains here... Both Cotto and Canelo stand to make more money headlining Cinco De Mayo 50/50 split on ppv than either would fighting Floyd..
No they do not stand to make more money headlining cinco de mayo and Cotto doesn't want that fight on that date...He wants Canelo in NY in June...

FACT: Floyd is the biggest PPV draw in the sport

FACT: The biggest pay days both Canelo and Cotto have made in their careers was when they fought Floyd...

So why would Cotto generate less money in a Floyd/Cotto rematch? The only people that don't want to see that rematch are Bob Arum and his nuthuggers like yourself...The first Floyd/Cotto fight almost did 1.5 million PPV...That fight was very competitive, so logic tells us the rematch should generate the same buys if not more...

Who are you to tell another man what his price is.. Especially when he's not even asking for 50%.. Pacquiao fought and beat Eric Morales 2x, Berrerra 2X, Marquez 3X, Oscar, Cotto, Hatton, Clottey, Mosley, Margarito, Bradley, Rios coming off a KO, and Algieri.. Never retired, Never took a vacation... If Pac wants 40% who are you to tell him he deserves less??
If Floyd gets the blame its because he deserves the blame for the fight not happening at this point...

@Black_Jesus is correct in perception being a reality

Who does America love more: Pac
Who is perceived to be in more control of negotiations: Floyd
Who is actively calling for the fight: Pac
Who does majority of America want to win: Pac
Who does America deep down think will win: Floyd

If the fight doesn't go down and Floyd stays undefeated, America will label Floyd a ducker since they can't call him a loser. Even if it's completely false. Pac could go in asking for 50/50 and if Floyd turns it down, he will be viewed as a ducker.

Okay and what was the split when they fought Floyd??

Cotto made $8million while Floyd made over $40 million. And the fight did 1.5 million buys..

Canelo/Cotto could easily break a million buys on Cinco De Mayo meaning they could each stand to make significantly more than what they made fighting Floyd total.. Cotto dont need Floyd breh and Floyd isn't more powerful than the GB/TR machine

We don't have to worry about this scenario because Canelo ain't never fighting Pacquiao...

I don't remember the exact number Freddie Roach said but Canelo basically laughed at it and said he is never fighting below 154 again...

He also has a very favorable contract with GB (second best in the sport) and can make a big fight with GGG if he wanted to...In other words Canelo has better options that don't require him to drain himself...

I love how you keep avoiding the fact Cotto has said he don't want Canelo on a Mexican holiday...DLH himself said that's a big problem in negotiations for that fight right now...If it did happen they could break a million but that's not guaranteed...Fighting floyd is guaranteed to break a million and that $8 million Cotto got last time was double what he ever made fighting for TR...hence why he didn't resign with your boy Bob...Cotto will make more in a Floyd rematch not less...The first fight was great and people wanted to see a rematch, plus now he holds the MW WBC strap coming off two dominant performances...This rematch doesn't need much effort to be marketted and Cotto will likely see $10 million this time a figure that isn't guarnateed fighting Canelo...

How is it that Cotto will make more money in a rematch with Floyd than a match with Canelo?? Explain that one

I just explained it in the post you quoted...:what:

On top of what I already explained, Showtime don't want another Maidana, they want Floyd to take a fight that is going to move a million plus in PPV...If he can't make a deal with Pacquiao, he is going to be forced to make it happen with Cotto which means Cotto is getting a bigger cut this time around which is well justified imo...

I edited the question... how do you figure Cotto makes more fighting Floyd THAN CANELO... AT A 50/50 split.... ON CINCO DE MAYO??..

If Floyd cant be "forced" to make a career high Payday over $100 million fight against Pac, breaking all records, what makes you think he can be "forced" to fight Cotto. Unless he's offeri g Cotto a 40 or 50% split why would Cotto fight Floyd instead when him and Canelo could break a million by themselves on ppv?? All because of a June date? :mjlol:

They've already done that though breh...

They been calling Floyd a coward and a ducker ever since Pacquiao adamantly refused to take a steroid test in '09...Try to make sense of that sentence because I still cant...Floyd gets the blame because the other guy doesn't want to take a steroid test without a cutoff...:mindblown:

but anyways what exactly has changed in 2014 in terms of perception? They still blaming Floyd and calling him a coward...
