WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) has been posting some year-end comments on the social networks, but no hints regarding his plans for 2015, his next opponent or the status of discussions for a unification showdown with WBO champion Manny Pacquiao.

There are also rumors that Mayweather is courting WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto for a 2015 rematch on May 2nd.

Mayweather wrote that he is motivated by money and there is no bigger fight for him, financially, than Pacquiao.

Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, is speaking with CBS CEO Les Moonves, who claims he can secure Mayweather for the fight. Arum recently stated that Moonves has heard little to nothing from Mayweather's team regarding a Pacquiao fight.

"Got to give them another reason to hate, but I will motivate the people that are ambitious and want to be winners in life. I am guilty! I'm materialistic and I'm motivated by money...but GOD is first in my life. GOD will not give you anything you can't handle. That's why GOD gave me the best hands in the business to pray with, box with and count money with," Mayweather wrote.

I don't think he's jealous I look at it as him just hyping his fighter Vargas up to want to fight Pacman. Jones knows if Mayweather and Pacman fight he will lose that cut with his fighter Vargas with that payday with Pacman.

I think he just trying to get that fight for his fighter. This was before Pacman's last fight. You know you Jones always thinks himself as the best even at his old age. The last few years Jones was giving Mayweather the edge to beat Pacman. He also said Khan would give him some problems as well earlier this year.

I respect that but it sounds like hate. The first Floyd/Maidana was far from boring. Floyd stayed in the pocket for the majority of his last 5 fights. Everyone uses the notion that the Floyd/Pacman won't be good because Manny is fading but Floyd has seemed to regress more than Manny. I actually think Manny has become a better boxer since the KO. He still lunges but not nearly as often. He is still lightning fast and has showed some great footwork.

I think the better route for promoting the fight would be to focus on the competition at 140 and telling why Manny should drop down and challenge himself more, starting with Vargas.

Well it looks like that seed already been planted by Top Rank and Vargas himself as possibly Pacman's next opponent if the so called Floyd fight falls through. I would prefer to watch Floyd vs Pacman that's a true PPV event not Pacman vs Vargas. A few of Floyd's and Pacman's last fights definitely were not PPV caliber fights. Which is why they are both on the decline with PPV.
