I don't think so bro. Manny just did less than 300k. Floyd did 750k fighting Maidana with a grade F undercard. Face it, FLoyd sells. Pac was selling because people thought he was invincible and could defeat FLoyd. They finally saw that he was not and all the casuals left

I still contend that even Mayweather keeps his casual fans/haters hanging around especially because the Pacquiao fight hasn't gone down. Once its over, mainstream interest in both guys will dip. It's Floyd, Manny then a big dropoff when considering star power, worldwide recognition, ppvs, resume, speed, power, etc. If even Manny cannot make this fight close, Floyd can definitely go out on top. Just give him the TBDefenseE crown, no need to watch Floyd fight anymore, lol. The crazy thing is I don't even think Floyd haters mind giving him his props. Just beat Pacquiao, then there's nothing left to debate. Its not like only Manny got old in all that time, they both did. After Pac vs Mayweather goes down, Mayweather can REALLY talk his shyt: PPVs, TBE, most paid boxer of all time, etc. But that's also why I say none of that is going to matter after Pacquiao. If Mayweather doesn't retire, the only selling point he'll have left for future fights is young vs old.

Boxing is stressful brehs. I blame everyone involved for this fight not happening. Im starting to think that they will never fight. Truth be told, I don't care. I think the young nikkas like Broner, Garcia, Canelo, Walters, WIlder, Crawford will hold it down when MAY, PAC, WLAD, and them other old nikkas retire.

Not if they're still with Haymon though breh (all of em except Canelo, Walters, Crawford):mjcry:

On the subject of PPV, I feel that this match up never happening sums up an entire era of boxing. With millions on the table and these mangers/promoters in everyone's pockets the shyt is harder to make happen. You got fans talking about PPV numbers like rap fans talk about album sales. The fukked up part is that back in the day none of that shyt mattered.

Right:obama:

Man, we need a single governing body in boxing. One organization that forces certain fighters to fight one another, or strips them of their belts. Imagine what that type of organization could make happen. But at the same time, we need to rid ourselves of BOTH Arum and Haymon. All those BS fights they give us like Salka vs Garcia and PAC vs Chris A. That shyt fukks up the sport because nikkas aint fighting the best any more. If these alphabet soup organization started t force the champs to fight one another, the promoters would be forced to work together. I hope one big time fighter leads the way and says to hell with these promoters. Imma fight the nikkas I wanna fight.

The IBF, WBA, and WBC have been working together currently to try and start up a way to get the Champions in each of their divisions to fight each other. They met June 21-24 and was working together (http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/wbc-wba-ibf-plan-september-summit-talks-258399 ) and then again on September 24th ( http://wbcboxing.com/wbceng/news/3371-wbc-wba-ibf-second-summit-reaches-historic-agreements ).....with the best news being this:

WORLD CHAMPIONS TOURNAMENT - It has been approved to proceed with the preparations of the World Champion´s Tournament to eventually crown 1 fighter per division which will be the sole champion that can receive the distinction of WORLD CHAMPION.

There are many topics which need to be addressed and prepared but the first step has been agreed and it will eventually have its first steps towards this goal .

The WBC has already started with their tournament being devised. I made a thread on it called the "Floyd Mayweather Invitational Tournament". Each Organization is supposed to hold a tournament (WBA and IBF as well) and THEN each Champion is supposed to fight the other in another mini tournament in order to crown 1 TRUE Champion:banderas:

Hopefully it all works out and :pacspit: the WBO for not meeting or trying to participate:camby:

nikkas would rather see Floyd become a billionaire than see him fight Manny. :mjlol:

The public never worried so much about what somebody in boxing was going to be paid until this god forsaken fight got mentioned. :snoop:

Well look at the evolution in boxing. Tito was not his boss, Cotto is his own boss now and refused to get played around by Bob. Floyd is his own boss as well (kinda). If thew fight doesn't happen because he doesn't wanna get jerked by Bob, I won't even be mad. I ll also find it very hypocritical that Manny gets no blame for not being vocal and pressing Bob. Also hypocritical that Pac seems content with his position. Canelo forced Oscar to make the Lara fight, but Pac can't tell Bob what to do ? Yes Floyd is being greedy and overly cautious, but Pac and Bob don't seem too pressed to make the fight either. Now, Cinco de Mayo is an issue ? :dead:

nope
just manny's
the general public will just move on to the next boxer
you see how quickly they hopped onto the canelo bandwagon once pacquaio got knocked out?
pacquaio on the other hand will be done
minus his homegrown fans who love him regardless

Lol they'll move on to Khan, but I wouldn't exactly call it Pac vs Mayweather level of demand. Ain't nobody saying Floyd can't retire without fighting Amir Khan, lol. Like I said earlier, will be billed an old school vs new school type of fight, which I'm not mad at. I would love to see that fight too. It'll do well in the UK, Floyd should take the fight there.

Those are Manny's 2 fights for 2015 right there. His schedule his set. Both Top Rank fighters. Both will have shytty undercards. This shyt is so pathetic.

I'm looking over Top Rank's roster right now. For 2016, why not put Pac in with Alvarado? Give Alvarado a bunch of bums in 2015 & there you go.

It's not hard to think like Arum at all. He'll just look over his roster & put Pac in with one of those guys not giving a fukk.
