I too am hoping Georgia smacks them as well.
I get being angry about being left out the playoff
But it has made them and their fans more insufferable than they already have been the past few years.
The playoff expands next year. Stay in the conference you have a leg up in and get in frequently.
Don't pay half a billy for a harder road
Again, why should FSU, a premier football operation— be in league with schools like Duke, Wake, et al., A) that do not take football seriously given the realignment climate B) having to share revenue with such teams that don’t take the sport seriously and have accomplished zilch in the sport C) only have any motion in the sport when they’re playing FSU D) Miss out on literal MILLIONS by not being in one of the power 2 conferences because of pay disparities, so you can play schools like SMU in the ACC E) who are FSU fans going to be more excited to play: Michigan, OSU, USC, UW, etc. or Duke, GT, Ncstate, etc. F) Which of those scenarios screams premier football conference going forward? It damn sure isn’t the ACC. We’ve literally lost recruits because of the conference we’re in, since people see it as inferior to the SEC. That was before the super conferences even popped off fully, so what does that portend for the future?
There’s going to be two conferences that matter going forward. Your best bet as a serious football institution is to get into one of them now. The committee literally just told us the ACC doesn’t matter
. In the future those conferences are going to matter even more. Who do you think are going to get those at-large playoff selections next year? The Big 12?
Reality is this, there are only two schools in the ACC’s history that have done anything on the national stage repeatedly: Clemson and FSU. The rest of these schools are poverty football schools and on our shoulders. Miami has never done anything in the ACC. We wanted out the ACC before this playoff shyt, but it’s clear now the ACC has run its course.
