Yea movies like total recall and robocop ain't the godfather. But my issue with remaking them is that the movies were perfect at the time for the kind of movies they were. There's literally no possible way a remake of those movies would be as good as the original or even close to it. So whats the point of remaking them in the first place besides an obvious money grab? As for this one I don't have an issue with it...its been long enough and the original wasnt all that
