Kyle Rayner is the GOAT GL

John has no personality at all.........he's literally the most boring Earth GL

:dahell: John kicked ass in the cartoon. he has not alot of personality because he's a marine, he's stoic, i imagine having a personality as a superhero isnt important. captain america doesnt have much of a personality the way the writers write him, no one gives him shyt for it, is it because john stewart is black he should act a certain way??? John works best when he's paired with the team especially flash... All things considered Batman doesnt have personality either... but we love him anyways. why not give John Stewart a chance?

He does he look cool but I pictured Aquaman as a strong but ethereal type. He represents the oceans and seas which are constantly ebb and flowing.
Momoa is Pacific Islander... Samoan actually. A really good choice to portray a king of the seas, I would actually think a real Aquarman would look more like him to be exact

I'm kinda starting to like how this is turning out. I think Zach Snyder is going to make the DCCU look a lot more darker and realistic than the MCU... dark like The Watchmen, In which it should be. Disney has control of the MCU so pg/13 is to be expected.

If Snyder can get the DCCU rated NC17 or Rated R then :banderas:

It might stand a hell of a chance against the MCU onslaught that's about to take place

It's gonna be tough for afleck to look tough standing next to khal drago. Aquaman looks like he can take batman and Superman in a fight
Affleck is like 6'5. My only thing is can he get "cut" up enough. Not be bulky but actually in shape

Dude who played Superman was in great shape to play the role. More muscular than Mamoa but Mamoa has a tall/lean but naturally muscular frame

It's not so much the look as it is about the vibe and personality. Jason strikes me as more of a solid earth bronzy person and so do many of his past characters.

Doesn't matter it he's a pacific islander or white or whatever, it's the of the quality and personality of character. When I think of the oceans and seas, I think rough but flowing tides and a glowing translucent like quality.
Just think of quality of water and look at the animals living in it how they move and live. Aquaman is supposed to the human embodiment of it.

I get what you're saying...

We view the seas as something different then. As beautiful as the ocean is its a HARSH, dangerous, dark environment... Last thing I picture is some blonde haired blue eyed King fukking around underneath the ocean floor.

I think that's the direction they're taking it with someone like Mamoa. There's no city of Gold underneath the ocean floor... It's not Asgard lol.

But if it makes you feel better it does look like he has bright streaks in his hair lol

John ain't do shyt the entire series......name one villain he dropped :comeon:

The JL doesn't need anymore stoicism......Batman already provides that. Him being Black has nothing to do with some supposed way he should behave......he's just flat out boring. Kyle Rayner was best friends with the Flash in the comics for years....so that point is moot. All I'm saying is Kyle Rayner is a better GL than John :yeshrug:

Yeah i can see that the overall tone might be Poseidon meets tribal dark knight.
I guess would've prefer someone who looks more fish like; Big eyes and fleshy lips and slightly youthful.
I not convinced someone like that would live in the ocean, too muscle-y.

:wtf:

He's lean, not bulky. He's not a bodybuilder

I lived in Hawaii for like 10 years... He looks like he's a warrior that's been in the ocean all his life
