Ed ended up taking himself too seriously. Never should have sold out. WHen he wore the Bruce Harper jersey and sat on his brothers shoulders and had his section in the old stadium he was cool with me.




I'd always sit in the upper deck behind the EZ in the early 90's with a guy wearing a Klecko jersey that did the rival chant. He had a whistle and got the place going nuts. These were meaningless games too. Good times.

As a lifelong Jets fan, I'm just left wondering where the team will ever, ever find another loud-ass, self-important, beefy white dude who lives for bellowing on the sidelines, draws a disproportionate amount of attention to himself, and is more about clownish, grade-school quality motivation tactics than actual football acumen.

Most folks here dont go that far back...Ed turned into a attention whore, but it was great at the old stadium the rare times the Jets were good and he got the entire place going.
