This is a great example of why I look at a lot of these rappers funny. We know most of these nikkas sit online all day posting bullshyt and arguing with people over the most insignificant shyt. Then something like this happens...nothing but silence.

If people don't care to speak out or can't then rap culture is a joke and I don't know how you could say otherwise given what happened here.

I don’t expect every personality and DJ to know the ins and outs of every person who works there but at the very least some higher ups need to get cut for this one. Even if the actual people who hired him are no longer there, there would certainly be people in high positions who knew and kept it as quiet as they could. Probably made it hell for anyone who did find out to come forward or they’d lose their jobs etc. all rappers and entertainers should boycott the station, anyone who has the authority should not allow their music to be played by the station either.

I hope not. I like Lisa Evers. What she should say is she heard that but that's not going to stop her for going on air and discussing issues that effect our communities. That's the right move.

Lisa Evers had to have known as well especially since she covers events like this current and past.

Damn, props for this. I forgot she hosted Street Soilders on there.

Lisa Evers was married to Curtis Sliwa from 1981-1995.

Curtis Sliwa was in Bensohurst in the 80s and is still active in the streets and political radio. I would be shocked if it didn't come up.

I just heard the Star program. Damn, did he insinuate that Bob Slate of Kiss FM knew ? Bob fukking Slate ? For those that don’t know , Slate hosted a Sunday night program Week In Review that spotlight injustice in the black community. He was probably the most pro black higher up/radio host in the history of radio.

It’s easy for him to throw Bob in there when he ain’t around to defend himself :francis:
Especially after Bob put his rep on the line for him.

After the Aaliyah incident, they did a show to discuss the situation. Star was a guest. I believe Tracy (pd at the time) was on there too. They waited until the last 5 mins of the show to talk about the incident & bring Star in. When they did they just glossed over it and rushed like they were out of time (probably a upper mgmt decision)

The next week some callers called up mad. Bob got frustrated and basically told them they couldn't go hard with the questioning due to working for the same company...

I stopped tuning in after that.

when rappers have to check in
When rappers get robbed
When rappers get shot
When rappers be stuck in bad deals
When rappers get done dirty on that Spotify splits

I don’t think much of it
