Like I said, using this situation for some silly ass juvenile Coli talking point about NY being soft is so goddamned corny I don't know where to begin.
Talking about The Bay woulda did this and that if it happened in Cali. Tupac himself befriended and was cool with the dude who actually pulled the trigger and killed Yusef Hawkins. FOH.
That's not the entertainment industry, that's literally any work environment ever. Most people will just play bystander instead of trying to rock the boat, because people aren't going to risk their own paycheck to expose somebody else, particularly something that isn't -- as fukked up as it sounds -- affecting their own personal life. When all this was first brought to light, a lady named Nicole (maybe Natalie, I don’t recall ) who worked for Emmis/Hot97 tweeted that she was told this information about Paddy, however she didn’t do anything about it. In my opinion how many other people know and didn’t do anything about it because they didn’t want to rock the boat, or lose their job? How many other Paddy’s are employed in the entertainment industry?
In my opinion there appears to be a lot of bystander behavior in the entertainment industry where people assume someone else will say something, and don’t want to speak up unless they are directly affected by a situation. Why is that?
This is the conversation we should be having today.
fukk Hot97 first off.
dude was with them for 25 years so it’s inexcusable that they didn’t know his past. They all knew and buckled because of the shytstorm brewing online from Dallas Penn (and others). Station management, Ebro, old owners and new owners know his deal and looked the other way.
it’s not like the Yusuf Hawkins case was some small time shyt that got zero coverage. This fukking CAC got his second chance, blessed with a job and vultured his way Into the culture. fukk Angie, Flex, Rosenberg, Ebro and everyone else who were aware of this fukkboy. bytch ass Angie went to high school I’m the neighborhood around where Paddy lived.

Yeah, there's no racists out in the Bay and Silicon Valley cause you guys are so thorough out there.Okay that's what you feel cool
Now you know why they take us for a joke
We just different out here that's it
Hot 97 & New York the the Mecca of hip hop
Same reason why a lot of pro-Black, positive message Hip Hop gets no play on commercial radio and the video channels (MTV, BET, Fuse). When all this was first brought to light, a lady named Nicole (maybe Natalie, I don’t recall ) who worked for Emmis/Hot97 tweeted that she was told this information about Paddy, however she didn’t do anything about it. I just said this to someone. He's getting a check so they can get on their high horse and use the word "fired".
