Many immigrants from Europe have a hatred for Black Americans. Many Black immigrants do as well (African, Jamaican, Haitian etc), Hispanics, but lets stick to the Europeans...lol. Europeans, like the Italians, Irish etc, many of them were looked at as the nikkas of Europe. So they come to America, without shyt but a open hand, struggling to get by, even during jim crow (which benefited Europeans mostly). yet they see Black people still being able to build things like BWS (and other smaller communities similar to BWS). Despite the fact that we had the entire country against us, many of us were still able to survive and live better than many immigrant Europeans. Wouldnt u be pissed off if the main targets of systematic racism were still able to maneuver better than you, within a system that was basically designed for Whites to get a head start?

nikka shut yo stupid ass up and leave black immigrants out of your delusion you p*ssy.

This dudes whole twitter thread is laughable, most of the people in corporate and who work behind the scenes of these hip hop stations are white people and with a few blacks as interns and spanish people, hot 97 was a freestyle station before 93 so i doubt they fired all those people behind the scenes
Yeah did they say he produced when Flex started there? Hot 97 was a Guido freestyle station then, Flex only had an hour on Fridays and Saturdays. So yeah, racist Guido's from Bensonhurst was like the station's target audience back then.
This Patty Duke must be a relic from there who they never got rid of.

Internal memo that went out to Hot97 staff

:picard: "many of you have mixed feelings" I been moved out of the tri-state area but I stopped listening to Hot97 way before that.

Also for those who don't have references this guy wasn't just some backroom pencil pusher who was never mentioned, if any nj/nyc brehs are as :flabbynsick: as me you will remember Angie Martínez giving dude props / shouting his name on air ALL the time, even funk flex himself would do it too

so yea at one point this guy was helping probably produce some of the the most popular on air hiphop shows in the country

There's nothing to explain. NYers who actually care about Hip Hop don't care about Hot 97. We been known it is the station where Hip Hop died and aren't expecting anything different than this. Same with Power 105. They been raped the culture for all it's worth. It's a misperception everyone in NY loves these radio stations, we don't.

When he was hired or when they switched from playing freestyle to playing Hip Hop and R & B we didn't have social media to go on some cancelling mission. But he's been fired so mission accomplished?

After nearly 30 years of being employed there and moving up in terms of responsibility, position and salary, deep dives into his history would have been done on multiple occasions, especially once he was going to transition into an executive position. Emmis Communications 100 percent would have been privy to this information, a publicly traded company of that size has people on the payroll who sole function is to identify anything that could harm the public image of the company.

I also find the specific wording and language of the public post and what was sent to employees something to take note of, terminate the relationship and no longer employ, how did it actually unfold? Was he fired? Or did a conversation happen behind the scenes and he is quietly resigning from his position and leaving with some sort of severance package? Is the remainder of his contract being payed out? 26 years at Emmis 17 of which were in an executive position so I gotta wonder if he had stock options? I would love to see his contracts. My gut tells me him no longer being employed by hot 97 is not the punishment some people will construe it as and that his bank account balance is going to increase one way or the other as a result of this.

Its obviously fukk Paddy Duke and I been saying fukk Hot 97 but I really hope this gains maximum traction and shifts to the complicity of Emmis Communications.

It's fukked up that he ate off black culture for so long and consumers of the station were kept in the dark about it, but why are you acting like he was appointed as the chief of police or the Chancellor of the education dept.?? :what:

He worked behind the scenes at a fukking radio station. He's not Stephen Miller dictating national policy.

What's fukked up is that you would trivialize this shyt to run with some silly "NY lost" narrative for internet jokes and points.

Y'all nikkas need to get out your feelings First of all

I Said what I said, Doesn't matter this dude was all up in y'all NY Video's being shouted out and work there for 27 years so miss me with the bullshyt that he was the mail boy, he was behind the scenes but fukkin visible

And I stand what I Said out here in California and in the South, if we found out that one of our stations hired a person that was apart of a lynching, you see shyt trending on Twitter and news coverage because we would be all up in there shyt and shut shyt down
